Pack/Wahoos Open Thread

Today is the first of the Pack’s three remaining realistic shots (along with BC and the Holes) to win an ACC game. TOB would be advised to win all three if he wants to retire next year instead of next month. More importantly, a loss today would effectively end the season. See you kids this afternoon.

    Very bad kicking off today.

We look good vs. a sub-par QB. Too bad we can’t count on playing against one every week.

28-14 will be your final. All WRs on either team not named Bryan Underwood should be taken out back and shot. LOL.

“All WRs on either team not named Bryan Underwood should be taken out back and shot. LOL.”

You mean the guy who dropped a pass in the end zone when we had zero points?

  6. BJD95 10/22/2011 at 6:15 PM #

GT is officially a fraud. 7 points against Da U.

G Tech is getting destroyed by Miami. And they don’t have the injury excuses we do. You guys sure you still want Paul Johnson?

  8. BJD95 10/22/2011 at 6:16 PM #

Yes, but he made up for it afterwards. Twice, even. So he escapes the firing squad.

    Is Creecy hurt?

  10. BJD95 10/22/2011 at 6:19 PM #

I feel better about our chances to beat the Holes. And hey, our ACC record is better than theirs now. Woohoo!!!!

I takes what I can gets.

WTF did TJ do to get himself suspended? I’d hate to think TOB is being too hard on him.

That reminds me, TOB chewed out Underwood after a TD. Taunting? IDK, but I was pretty excited too.

  12. hoop 10/22/2011 at 6:23 PM #

If TOB had any personality at all we would recruit much better and have a top 15 team.

  13. PackFamily 10/22/2011 at 6:23 PM #

Creecy – Guess not. TOB trying not to score. Didn’t even take the FG

  14. FunPack 10/22/2011 at 6:25 PM #

    VA’s QB’s are pretty bad.

  15. hoop 10/22/2011 at 6:26 PM #

TOB is smiling wider than I’ve ever seen him.

  16. FunPack 10/22/2011 at 6:27 PM #

    Good win. We needed that.

  17. redcanine 10/22/2011 at 6:28 PM #

    ^Good to see that

Anybody remember George Bryan? What happened to him? This whole game looked like it was in slow motion. One of the most poorly executed football games I have seen in a long time. Sad to have the claim to fame be that we are not as bad as UVA.

next week will be a different story altogether. On the bright side I feel our chances of beating the heels is much better.

  20. redcanine 10/22/2011 at 6:49 PM #

You can’t get away with it in Amerson County. Penalties are severe.

Glad to get the win! Either the defense is getting better or
Va. is really bad!!! Anyone notice, when TOB has two weeks to get ready for a game, we usually win. But, just can’t get it done in one week.

Nice win! It was good to see Sweezy back. Over time he’ll be regularly causing havoc in the backfield again.

At first I was pissed we sat on the ball at the end of the first half, but given the fact that Glennon, who overall played a great game, still likes to throw into triple coverage at times it was probably a wise move given we were ahead on the road.

Theme for this game: Don’t throw it to Stonehands!!!!!

  23. sundropdrinker13 10/22/2011 at 8:06 PM #

GAWolf, they are all named Stonehands, unfortunately.

  24. BJD95 10/22/2011 at 8:27 PM #

And now that we’ve won (however ugly it was), we can wholeheartedly cheer for thr Wisconsin Wilsons.

“Glad to get the win! Either the defense is getting better or

    Yes.

    And Yes.

This was a Polish standoff, whoever shot themselves in the foot last loses. Don’t get me wrong, the boys played way better, but they gave away 14 points, one TD on offense (the same TD 2 1/2 times) and then let the worst passing offense in the history of college football launch a 60 yard bomb. All in all, pretty good effort, but the WRs need to have their PT based on practice drops this week, cuz that was atrocious. Made a walkover into a tough game.
