^Indeed, had someone told me that we would have seven penalties in the 1st QTR and only be down 3 in Death Valley, I would not have believed it.
Question….on the touchdown that was called back against the Pack in the first half. The touchdown pass to Cole Cook. Did the WR line up improperly in error or was it designed? Skulduggery?
I feel the writer’s pain concerning Philip’s situation. Still, Philip needs two TD passes to tie Johnny Unitas for #10 in NFL history – TD passes. Four more will put him alone at # nine all time. Marino never won a Super Bowl nor did numerous other HOF QBs.. All time, Philip is #14 in passing yards, #13 in completions, #8 in passer rating, and #6 in completion percentage. He still has multiple years to play…I am not totally up to date on SD agreeing to build a stadium, but if Spanos takes them to LA, I believe Philip will leave.. Can’t say as I wouldn’t blame him. I don’t know him personally, but from my observations he is a better person than he is a football player. I love what he did for the Pack. Best we have had since Roman or maybe forever.

joec..I saved two copies of that edition from that glorious day.. indeed it is serious memorabilia….the black and white pictures on pages 6 and 7 are a thing of beauty…looking at them just takes me back to those days, and those memories are a prized possession.
