Can’t hate Bambard too much. It isn’t like he goes out there and says “I’m going to miss this one, too”. Blame the staff that didn’t recruit a legit kicker in the first place.
We know how this will play out. Lose to Syracuse, win one round of the ACCT and then suffer through selection Sunday again to be picked as a 12 seed.
Look, I hate everything about that cesspool over there just like the rest of you do, but at some point we just have to stop acting like the nerd that never gets the girl and start acting like the jock. Just post about how thoroughly we dominated them last night and leave it at that. All the old snark that drips in EVERY UNx thread and has gotten boring to even those of us that used to enjoy it and at some point it starts to scream loser mentality”.
Maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy, but I thought we definitely sounded classless booing dudes on the ground. Smith (#24) was one of the first to go out when we booed. They worked on his left knee while he was on the ground and I didn’t notice him back in until a few series later, with an ace bandage on his knee and noticeably favoring it.
Mitchell (11) was another guy we booed and I’m not sure I saw him back in the game much if at all after that.
I suppose it is too much to ask an entire stadium to watch for them coming back in the game on the following snap and then booing. It kind of makes sense that they’d have injuries while we are in hurry up. They get winded and that leads to the injuries. Sucks for us but we look like real assholes for booing.
I turned it off after I saw Ralston Turner jack up another feet-not-set partially off-balance jumper with someone in his face early in the second half down by 7. I can’t help but think Gottfried isn’t going to last much longer here. It shouldn’t take this many years to coach your boys up and have them play defense.
