Participantfrom the article:
“Magically, the words “impermissible benefits,” “football” and “men’s basketball” no longer appear in the documents.”
I stopped reading there. Too big to fail.

ParticipantBullsh*t does in fact walk. Or skates.

ParticipantLove the riff on Sex, Lies and Videotape. Ha.
Read the article, obviously it’s just the rantings of a disgruntled former employee. š
Quote from another article by Willingham: “Whistleblowing is not for the meek. Just last week, Buck Sanders of Inside Carolina said that I, along with Jay Smith and the N&O, should be drenched in gasoline and lit on fire in a parking lot.”
Stay classy Kerlina. “Buck Sanders” is named as the president of INside Carolina, has a Twitter and LinkedIn account, but the photo is a caricature so I have no idea it’s a real name or nom de plume.

ParticipantI think a roster needs to be complimented by role players, developmental players, and a few stars, or potential stars.
Perhaps that’s what these guys can also begin to the table – the ability to recruit and keep a team, not just stars.

ParticipantWell Jeff Goodman is shocked, SHOCKED I tell youā¦
I am still shocked that Gottfried basically pushed Bobby Lutz out to hire Schroyer (and I like Schroyer).
— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) April 21, 2016
I am still shocked that FGCU coach Joe Dooley strongly considered going to NC State — and Heath Schroyer left his head coaching gig.
— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) April 21, 2016
NC State has hired UT Martin head coach Heath Schroyer. Joe Dooley passed, Schroyer did not. More $$$$.

Participant^ How many years does that info cover?

ParticipantThis is an interesting list of “high-profile” transfers. It would be interesting if one joined the Pack. Note that Caleb is listed, Cody is mentioned as part of the deal. The list is a mix of guys from all levels of programs, and it seems that most of them got plenty of playing time. Who knows what lurks in the hearts of 19 year old guys?

Participant“Tyler Hansbrough’s” comment is priceless:
“The refs were very bias. Many times they let Villinova get away with alot of walks. As a basketball player I can tell you that letting a guy travel like that makes him hard to defend. Are guys work very hard on the court and in the classroom. Its not write for them to loose the game because of the refs. This was there championship that the refs stole.”
MrPlywood
ParticipantThe āthese kids had nothing to do with itā defense carries no weight.
Absolutely none. It’s called institutional control for a reason. If a school is penalized and current players are deemed “innocent”, I think said players should be able to transfer without sitting out a year. They’d be able to play and the program would be further hamstrung. All the more reason to play by the rules.

ParticipantA few of the popular threads over at IC. The schadenfreude is real.
NCAA DID NOT WANT UNC TO WIN TONIGHT
THE BETTER TEAM LOST TONIGHT
FOUL DESCREPANCY AND REFS?
MrPlywood
ParticipantI paid this game no mind for all but 15 seconds and it paid off. I heard the play by play of the last two 3’s on the radio in the car. A fitting ending for the Holes.
MrPlywood
ParticipantMore like the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and yeah, make it quick ’cause scientists recently confirmed the existence of a major fault line under there. :O
Hopefully the Holes will feel the big one, complete with years of aftershocks, before we do.
MrPlywood
ParticipantI believe that some of you have been conditioned so badly, that UNxās own PR team couldnāt have managed better.
Stockholm Syndrome ‘Dog, plain and simple. Help me.
MrPlywood
ParticipantApparently, Ol Roy doesnāt anticipate any sanctions for menās bball.
I tried to post the link last night. (Site still won’t let me⦠conspiracy?) Roy comes across as extremely smug, more so than usual. Where’s my BB gun?

ParticipantWow. That Nova-OK score is a typo, right? Didn’t watch the game, I guess I didn’t miss much.
MrPlywood
ParticipantInteresting, “gak” is a sound I often made while watching State’s defensive efforts.
MrPlywood
ParticipantAnd another:
Yet I still have the feeling that the NCAA will let them off easy.
MrPlywood
ParticipantIs there solace in the fact that UVA plays very boring basketball?
I think that falls under the “beggars can’t be choosers” category. š
MrPlywood
ParticipantI thought Oregon was going to win the last one, but maybe Dook just finally got exposed and the Ducks looked that much better by comparison.
It’s been interesting to see well coached teams make bonehead plays and lose their composure – Dook, Kansas, and Virginia to name a few. I’m not saying that State is anywhere near that level, as we all know that improvement is needed in many areas, but watching other teams implode just reminds you that kids will be kids no matter what they’ve been taught.

ParticipantFWIW Ben Maller on Fox Sports radio called out Cuse and unx for their transgressions, and said that the Holes had been running a diploma mill for 20 years. He then clarified by saying “well, at least an eligibility mill” or something to that affect.
So some in the media are aware and are willing to say it out loud, but of course Maller is on in the wee hours so who knows if anyone besides me heard it.
