Back, and to the Left Game Thread

I ran out of dumpster fire memes, so I went with historical appreciation instead. I suggest talking more about your own take on the assassination and/or your favorite conspiracy theory(ies), rather than the game. Not even sure I will watch, frankly. It’s mind-numbingly stupid that we play this game at all, and I am extremely disappointed in DY for recently extending this series. In the future we will have to explore more deeply what drove that decision because I know from first hand experience that she has not supported the extension of the series.

Today’s sea of purple-clad methheads in C-F is in no way good for our program. But, of course, today’s situation comes to your courtesy of ‘Coach Lee Fowler’ who would’ve done anything in the world he could to put himself in the personal good graces of local politicians and ECU’s well-respected Athletics Director (at the time), Terry Holland. I have to ask how all of that chumming up to others worked out for Fowler, who remains unemployed three years after FINALLY being dismissed from NC State.

ECU can beat NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill in the same season for the first time in school history.

The most exciting sports event of the day, of course, is the Merseyside Derby. Everton scored to level the game at 1-1 in the 8th minute, and have controlled play since. This is what will determine the level of my foul mood for the remainder of the weekend, at least until Broncos/Pats Sunday night.

Same old crap that’s been happening for over 50 years. You have to hit rock bottom to get any action from our upper administration. Deb’s hands are probably tied as to what she really would do if she had the commitment from the top (50 years of history proves the point) and the politicians and press are probably all UNC grads. We are the “red headed step children” and the way the powers that be intend to keep us. I am through with this insanity.

I don’t think so, charger. Have a bad year two and you are officially on the hot seat. And it won’t be good for recruiting no matter how good the staff is in that department. And what about incentives in the contract, such as number of wins and bowl appearances?

It was a throw away season. We all get that now. But at some point we need to start seeing at least some improvement sometime next year. Year three will tell the tale for the Doeren era.

Yes year 3 will tell us where we are going with DD. Then years 4-5 will be the real important ones. That being said IF we have another season like this he will not get the chance for year 3.

That was insane there today. After the half it was almost all ECU fans left.

It wasn’t even embarrassing, just a complete joke. Even if you could find a picture of a shanty town in Brazil, with mounds of trash everywhere in sight, it couldn’t come close to the dumpster fire at C-F.

I had some family over today. One asked about if the game was on. I appeased him and turned the game on even though I wasn’t planning to watch it had nobody been there. I saw the score. I didn’t really watch the game even though it was on. Towards the end I saw the score and for the first time in a very long time I honest to god did not give a f***. No anger, sadness, resentment. Nothing.

Mom dropped by the house today wearing purple. Had no idea this meaningless game was being played today.

Here’s a question how did Steve addizio win at bc with less talent than state?

  8. wolf71 11/23/2013 at 7:04 PM #

BC is now 7-4 and they have been horrible with the least amount of talent and it is part oft eh reason why I do not believe DD cannot be held accountable until years 3,4, or 5.

The meth-heads played with the Pack like a Cat & Mouse. It is becoming more and more like a broken record that the Pack has a number of serious issues, including 1. No quarterback (a great or good quarterback can make up for, to a large degree, an otherwise inept offense.2. No defense 3. Suspect coaching staff 4. Beginning to wonder about the Athletic Admin. 5. Bad Karma………all not necessarily in that order. I did not see a season like this coming. We can talk about x’s and o’s ’til the cows come home, but, bottom line, something is not right, overall, in Raleighville. My prediction is winless in the ACC. Unaceptable. It is going to be a long, uphill battle to become relevant again. I hate this. Sorry for this discourse.

Anyone who sold their tix to a damn meth head pie rat should be permanently banned from ALL future State sporting events. Their fans were even hanging out of the box seat windows…unacceptable. I didn’t want to endure what ultimately transpired today, but I took my family and we sat through the whole cluster until 0:00. Builds character and teaches the kids you don’t sell out your team no matter what. It’ll also make it that much sweeter when we kick their ass in a few years. THIS will NOT be forgotten.

Wolf: Adazzio has the best back in college football. He’s a beast and won several games for BC.

Seems Mitchell finally got it together in the 4th, guess he forgot we have 4 of them, and I did hear on the radio that we have the youngest, most inexperienced team in the ACC. So we shall rise from these ashes. Believe! Not to mention the recruits coming in next year! Give DD his chance!

Doren’s coaching is suspect. This timeout after a timeout and calling a timeout before a kickoff does not exactly inspire confidence in the team or fans.

Realizing that this probably the worst fball season most of us have witnessed. I’m sorry but O’Cain, Amato and O’Brien would have done better coaching jobs than our current staff. You just cannot convince me we are truly this bad. Terrible coaching this year!

“We could add angel dust to the “Dumpster Fire Festivus” fun next weekend. What could possibly go wrong?”

We should play ECU every year. I disagree with everyone else, there is much to gain. We have one 10 win season in our history, we at best are a mediocre program. We are the Iowa State of the ACC. ECU gives players, fans and coaches motivation. We should be able to beat them, and I would rather see us play them than Richmond or South Alabama. We need to upgrade our schedule. I agree that Doren and staff have been a disappointment. However, our talent is lacking, I watch Mike Glennon with 11 Td’s and 3 picks in the NFL. His current players DON’T DROP 7-10 PASSES A GAME! I bashed Glennon some last year, now I realize if it wasn’t for Glennon last year we would have been 3-9 last season! This reminds me of the 1996 season when ECU killed us in Charlotte. Hopefully we can rebound and at least be competitive next year.

I agree NelsonHall97 – absolutely no excuse for selling your ticket to the opposition. Screw everyone that did. We were there pulling for the Pack all the way, amidst the chants of Purple…Gold…
