This is where you notice Smith’s absence. He’s out best option in the half court and Georgetown is good enough to force us to slow down.

  2. Rick 11/21/2010 at 9:16 PM #

    I agree about Smith.
Although we still have a ton of guys that can score.

  3. Rick 11/21/2010 at 9:20 PM #

I think Brown is our number one option in half court

  4. BassPacker 11/21/2010 at 9:30 PM #

Long time since I’ve seen a Wolfpack team running the floor this quickly. Love the up tempo Sid.

  5. MrPlywood 11/21/2010 at 9:31 PM #

Ditto BassPacker. And not only that, but the quick inside out passing is nice to see.

  6. BassPacker 11/21/2010 at 9:33 PM #

Zo is quickly becoming my favorite player to watch, but man are the freshman good. Barnes WHO ?

  7. WPPHAN 11/21/2010 at 9:38 PM #

Smith will only help open up that quick inside out passing game. Nice to have more than one scoring threat this year.

  8. NCStatePride 11/21/2010 at 9:39 PM #

What shocks me is how well some of our veteran players have become with the assistance our freshmen have brought.

  9. Wulfpack 11/21/2010 at 9:39 PM #

We have a squad. Going to be a fun year, boys!

like what I see so far, win or lose this team is going to be special

  11. MrPlywood 11/21/2010 at 9:44 PM #

    How about this for balanced scoring: starters – 6, 6, 6, 5, 3; subs – 6, 4, 1

Had to check the IC boards for the bball meltdown thread – they are already sweating the games with State…

  13. Rick 11/21/2010 at 9:49 PM #

They are hanging with a GT team that is playing well
In the past we had to play well when a good team played bad in order to win.
    No longer

  14. NCStatePride 11/21/2010 at 9:53 PM #

Boy, what terrible shooting. I mean, they are understandable missed baskets (contested), but still…

  15. NCSUPackfan 11/21/2010 at 9:56 PM #

Georgetown has great spacing, and it seems like everyone is collapsing, leaving open shots

  16. MrPlywood 11/21/2010 at 9:59 PM #

Gotta split – hold down the fort. Go Pack!

  17. Rick 11/21/2010 at 10:00 PM #

We have not played particularly well this half but are only down 2
    Get Harrow in the game

  18. NCStatePride 11/21/2010 at 10:01 PM #

What pisses me off is that it’s a Sendek-esqe gameplay. Hodge made the comment, ‘What a boring game style. Oh, I use to play like that for a Coach Sendek. Doh!’

  19. baxter 11/21/2010 at 10:04 PM #

wtf is howell shooting 3’s for? Scott Wood brick show is in full swing.

  20. Rick 11/21/2010 at 10:04 PM #

I do not feel like the way GT plays is the boring crap we used to play.

They actually drive and kick and feed the post.

  21. BassPacker 11/21/2010 at 10:05 PM #

Our youth is showing. Wood is firing up brick. Come on Pack.

  22. Packfan28 11/21/2010 at 10:09 PM #

I get tired of everyone saying what a lights out shooter Wood is. He’s streaky, that’s all.

  23. NCStatePride 11/21/2010 at 10:10 PM #

Rick, I actually think what GT plays is the boring crap we used to play… except they do it correctly. They remain on the perimeter and wait for the back door cut. The difference is that we never made our own back door opportunities and GT does.

  24. NCSU84 11/21/2010 at 10:10 PM #

This is where Tracy Smith is missed. His inside game is much needed when the outside shots are not falling – like now

  25. MA Wolfpack 11/21/2010 at 10:10 PM #

This is an excellent learning experience for our guys. GT has played a great game and has knocked down 7 threes. The better team is going to win tonight, but that is ok. We need to take this game, learn from it and get better.

CJL is going to frustrate us a lot this season.
