Game Ball, Kevin Reddick (and Owen Spencer)

Thank the Lord Mr. Reddick decided to wake up the sleepwalking Pack. Because once awoken, NC State played its best football all year. And we will play for the Atlantic Division title next week in College Park.

And what awareness by Owen Spencer to catch a tipped knuckler in the end zone. Without that, not sure the righteous anger would have been enough to get us over the hump. Remember when we used to call him “butterfingers?”

Quinton Coples, in my view, should have been ejected 4 plays before the fight. He hit Wilson at least 4-5 strides out of bounds. Coples took two steps on the chalk before launching. And you will NEVER convince me that he wasn’t coached to do that. Dirty sons of bitches!

And thank you for showing much better situational awareness this week, Coach O’Brien. Screw the book.

Notice Jarvis Williams with the broom!

That end zone expansion is going to provide some great views of those pine trees after the sanctions are handed down….

At least there will be more room for State fans – it will be even more like another home game.

Hey, I won’t say that we shouldn’t ask for a little more from our RB’s, but that was clutch running and blocking by the O-line that set up the desperation scenario that played out at the end. It was a key drive even though we didn’t score a TD.

Thanks guys for not giving up and for playing hard. Great victory!!!!!!!!

Mr. Plywood. After the debacle with TA Mclendon and the touchdown that was not a touchdown I never have been the same. I was at the game and had to take all the knives, guns and sharp instruments out of my truck to avoid killing myself

Guys, seriously though, even though that “sleeping giant” couldn’t wake up with all the violations going on over there, it will wake up someday…. hahahaha….

Tucker, The holes have not shown that they have the heart win a big game. The heart belongs to the men in red. You have to love the heart of this team!!! Please Mr. Wilson, play one more year!!!!

  7. Wufpacker 11/20/2010 at 5:06 PM #

Damn, tucker. Plywood’s right, I think. You are in need of some serious therapy, dude.

Hey Baby … Nothing could be finer than beating Carolina …. So for $2,000,000 what do you get? O – 4 against your rival (regardless of what they say) and the motherload of sanctions on your program. I hope Butch sings like a canary and tells everyone about the bball program. I hate those bastards!!! Just goes to show what a well-disciplined program will get you. Now, let’s got beat those Turtles and get the rematch with the Hokies we deserve.

“Guys, seriously though, even though that “sleeping giant” couldn’t wake up with all the violations going on over there, it will wake up someday…. hahahaha…”

Yup. And with any luck we’ll be there to sodomize it when it regains consciousness, LOL. (Figuratively speaking, of course. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…)

    ONLY 4 POSSIBLE OUTCOMES
    1. FSU lose to MD and NCST beats MD
    NCST wins Divsion

    2. FSU lose to MD and NCST lose MD
    MD wins Division

    3. FSU beats MD and NCST beats MD
    NCST wins Division

    4. FSU beats MD and NCST lose to MD
    FSU wins Divison

at this point we are still 4 out of 4 against the heels. Cheating suchs and suches

    CRAZY FREAKING GAME

We did not play well to deserve the win. I am worried about the talent Butch is bringing in is starting to have its effect. Its becoming much much harder to beat them than it was in 07 and 08.

We are lucky as hell today.

    y’all are overthinking this:

State wins because Spencer makes that miraculous catch on 4th down.

After that, the momentum shifts completely, and the UNC guys almost totally gave up.

    Everything else is secondary.

piz2bstatefan. It don’t mean nothing if BD is fired and the program is put on probation for 2 years and loses 30 scholarships. PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT UNC RECRUITS!!!

    Ditto!

I kept telling my girl, no way The Good Lord was going to let Carolina win this game. Punishment would be delivered………. Freakin CHEATERS….

I give the team and coaches a hard time because, well, they usually deserve it and this is after all NC State and the 1st law of fandom always comes into play. (for every elation there is an equal and opposite frustration) Once again I was giving them a hard time because again, they deserved it. That was until the Spencer TD and Graham punt return for the TD. The players finally woke up and played to win. I just wish they’d do it from the opening kickoff each and every game.

Done with my 2 bits. GO PACK!!! Go To Hell Carolina!!! Man, victory taste sweet.

My whole family (self, wife, mother, father, sister, brother-in-law) all went to NC State and we were all calling each other after the game today. Time to open the special bottle of homebrew beer I’ve been saving!

  18. PapaJohn 11/20/2010 at 5:30 PM #

Incredible!!!!! One of my favorites ever. And I’ve seen a bunch of these games. Just enough offense overall and against a pretty good defense, special teams scored, running game woke up when we needed it in the 4th, and the defense basically sealed the deal with the sack for the touch back.

When was the last time MBB & Football won three days in a row!! I’m giddy after one win. After winning Thursday, Friday, Saturday AND BEATING THE BLUE GOATS I am out of my mind!!

It was fun to hear TOB lighthearted in the post game.

If we beat G-town I’m skipping work Monday to celebrate! I’ll be useless.

  19. SuperStuff 11/20/2010 at 5:32 PM #

Seriously Coples should have been ejected for that tackle. Who hits someone that far out of bounds like that.

  20. MrPlywood 11/20/2010 at 5:33 PM #

LOL guys – just breath. In and out. The game is over! 4 years running – just think of the UNX fans and how they feel, let them carry that weight…

That said, I still remember Dudley Bradley’s strip of Clyde Austin…

  21. UnclePen 11/20/2010 at 5:41 PM #

Having lots of fun reading the “The “Official” UNC vs. state college Game” game thread at inside Carolina. Very satisfying! Lots and lots of these kinds of posts:
” Btwn the horrible stuff off the field and the horrible stuff on the field I think BD is hanging on by a thread. Better make some good decisions with regards to his staff. Cuz 0-4 against them is not going to work. unreal.”

  22. JeremyH 11/20/2010 at 5:47 PM #

if Wilson comes back, will Glennon stay? that gives him just one year as a starter.

  23. StateFans 11/20/2010 at 5:50 PM #

Unfortunately, I doubt Glennon stays if Russell comes back.

  24. tjfoose1 11/20/2010 at 5:54 PM #

Glennon has already redshirted, he’s going nowhere.

I said all along last season that Wilson would play pro ball over the summer and come back for football in 2010.

Though I’m not as certain, I doubt RW comes back next year. He may, but at this point, I think he knows what he needs to know, and is ready to move on.

    Edit:

Glennon could leave for an FCS school and still have 2 to play 2.

This is being reported in The Daily Tar Heel.

After the play, UNC’s Kevin Reddick and N.C. State’s Jarvis Williams were both ejected for an altercation in the back of the end zone.

In the postgame, free safety Deunta Williams said that the personal foul along with a previous one earlier in the drive by Williams were precipitated by Wolfpack players spitting in the Tar Heels’ faces.

People, that is not what I saw one the video replay. They Cheat and they lie…….. BUNCH OF THUGS.
