    FrankManor & Noah,

    The NCAA changed the rules last year or the year before so that you can count One win every year against a IAA opponent towards the required 6 for bowls.

    They probably had to do that in order to get enough bowl-eligible teams.

    And Marshall is up on ECU 26-7.

    I was down next to the UNC sidelines as the game expired. I was in disbelief still by the outcome and was watching as our players stormed mid field, then the student section. I noticed that TOB took a very long time to get to them, and when he did he had to jog almost a hundred yards to get there.

    Point is, whether the was a handshake or not really is irrelevant. An opposing coach does not need to work that hard to get to the other unless one was completely flaked out.

    Well FrankManor, you ask why do other people call UNC and UNC fans names?

    “The Phantom Field Goal”, and now you can ad to that “The Phantom Handshake”, and there’s your answer. Words like “respect” and so on don’t really fit that type of blind ignorance by UNC fans, and the same goes for the childish behavior from the head coach.

    Just imagine “if” Chuck Amato had pulled that kind of crap after his losses to unc? The media would be absolutely ablaze right now.

    Do you guys realize we get #7, DuJuan Morgan back next season? He is so exciting to watch play, he is waving his arms like a mad amn every chance to get the crowd into it, then he goes about his business and makes play after play.

    I saw DeMario’s family after the game and they made it all worth the trip. The SR’s wanted this one soooo bad. Bowl game eligible or not, not much could top this for these young men. So proud of our team and the coaching staff. Go Pack!

    P.S. The fly over was sick!!!! Did anyone notice how many of the crew members were NCSU grads when they were brought out on the field? I think it was a Navy or Marine Sea Wolves, but I’m not sure.

    Any of you folks who were hung up on using the label of a “Class Act” and so worried about NCSU’s appearance among it’s peers as well the general public, how do rate our vaulted neighbor’s head coach’s behavior today?

    Give Frank credit for walking into to a highly partisan forum and not giving us the usual babble from UNC fans.

    Unfortunately, Duke is UNC’s main rival and since Duke no longer plays D1-A caliber football, the football season is a dull, dull, time for Carolina fans. They truly have no rivals.

    They live in a truly Herbian world, where no game matters more than another.

    Here’s to hoping Butch Davis and Tom O’Brien stick around and build nationally recognized programs, so this game really will mean more than just bragging rights.

    Great win for the Pack! We have come a long way since the end of Sept. Even better days ahead for State. OUR guys were tough when we had to be and sealed the deal. I’m proud of our team, we played hard and well for the most part. Is our 3rd string back a tough customer or what?

    OH PLEASE!!! GET OVER YOURSELF! The kudos are appreciated, but don’t dare come across like all carolina fans are “above” doing or saying anything negative or what YOU may call classless.     If unx-xh fans and alumni are so kind and sportsmanlike then why are their books like “Have You Heard the One About State”?

    Don’t worry, unx-xh is way ahead in the series and you can always hold onto that and remind us.

    I will say that not being the typer I hit the ‘x’ by accident rather than the ‘c’ next to it almost 7 years ago, thought it was cute and stuck with it all this time on various message boards.
    Seems to have caught on.
