State #35

Coach Lowe speaks at the Raleigh Sports Club and Dane Huffman has the coverage at this link. There are so many good nuggets in this piece that we aren’t going to share any of them.

Well, it’s a good thing he already plays with his mouth open. He’s halfway there!

^mouth open, elbows flying, eyes bugging out all over the place

“we have already seen LEGITIMATE improvement in the same bunch of kids that too many Wolfpack fans had already written off prior to the start of season last year.”

speak for yourself. most knew we had a talented bunch & they were just young.

    packgrad,

I am surely NOT speaking about myself, I knew all along that Sidney Lowe would make it an interesting season.

As far the “most knew” part, you are definitely speaking after the fact.

you didn’t know that Costner, Fells & Ben were very talented? They were highly rated out of HS.

So, packgrad93, after hearing over and over for years, about this player and that player that just didn’t pan out, for one reason or another and *no fault of the coach OF COURSE*, I wonder how it is that this ENTIRE group just all of a sudden up and blossomed all over the place?

I mean in one season, and percentage wise, how do you figure that works?

Costner was inj, Fells & Ben were frosh waiting their turn. Biggest improvement is from fresh to soph.

    “waiting their turn”

In my mind that three word statement conjurs up visions of a cartoon wherein a group of young, bright eyed, but unknowing kids, wait impatiently at the back of the line, while out of their sight a huge, horn shaped noozle comes down and sucks every bit of the life and enthusiam right out of the skulls of every player before them. After treatment, they then slowly shuffle away, pale and expressionless, and exactly suited to “THE SYSTEM”.

Ben was behind Ced, should he had sat?

Again pack(can’t see the nose on his own face)grad93,

This was a variation of the princeton offense, was it not? There were NO conventional POSITIONS for anyone to have to play behind another player.

And besides, Simmons play while wearing a Wolfpack uniform was not anything so spectacular that it would be unreasonable for the coach to sit him down. Of course, that definitely wasn’t Simmons fault.
