Nice recovery from the early mistakes. Bob Knight knows more basketball than 90% of all other ESPN analysts combined. He may be an a**, but he knows basketball and how it should be played.
Tennessee came into the game somewhere around 320th in the country in defensive fouls, so that was a normal kind of game for them. If the SEC refs start studying tendencies they may need to carry more players.
Des is taking away some of Caleb’s minutes right now and the allure of Abu and his offensive potential has relegated Frenchie to the pine. At some point during the season, we are going to need Frenchie in a game just to rebound. I hope he hasn’t been purged from the rotation.
KW looks like he is on speed. He needs to relax.
Abu really has shown improvement. He still doesn’t make good decisions as often as you’d like but that will come with minutes.

The quick T on Gott was Hess’ FU to NC State. He just wanted everyone to know that he was in charge. That kind of petulant behavior shouldn’t be tolerated.
I had ESPN3 issues about the time the lead got cut from 9 to four so I have no idea how Wofford actually got back in the game during that stretch.
The offensive ineptness of our bigs was the difference in the game. The 14 second long possessions in the lane for Wofford didn’t help any either. Refs don’t call 3 seconds very much anymore, but when the offender is in control of the ball it really needs to be called.
The fouls weren’t out of whack yesterday, but the quick T was very revealing. If Hess is allowed to call one of our conference games we should just walk away and save ourselves the grief. He still has an axe to grind.
We will need to be perfect down the stretch to overcome King Karl. The game is close enough that anything less and we are screwed.
The patience that Gmninnskkii so eloquently described amounts to a three second violation almost every time they post up.
