When he pitched the book, the description he gave his editors is that this is a love story. Very well written and engaging, i read it over the course of my commute a while ago. I love the anecdotes and the behind closed door discussions.

His story is well balanced, but given his access does tend to linger on K. In any case, i walked away with a lot of respect for all the coaches. Feinstein painted a great portrait of all three men and their uniqueness.

The chapter on V’s health decline and death was incredibly moving. I got teary eyed on the bus.

I remember Curtis Marshal’s tricked out Grand Am. Solid!

My 5 year old, the boy, picked a good year to start paying attention to Wolfpack sports. Where he used to ask me “Who’s better, the Wolfpack or fill in the blank“, before a game. Now a days, the question goes “is fill in the blank also better than us?

my two year old, does love rooting for kitty cat Barber.

I read books, but watch more TV these days. I just finished The Man in the High Castle on Amazon. A slow start that grips you, but damn in gets intense. It’s based on a book, so it kinda counts.

I did read Bourbon Empire, which is the business history of bourbon….definitely worth a read.

Glad to hear that the juice is loose, BJD.

What got me is the number of times Louisville would run up, snatch the ball from our hands. There was an extra gear and level of hustle in them that the pack lacked…with the exception of Cat for most of the game. Last two minutes showed a similar level of intensity that’s not sustainable all game with a short bench.

I too was worried about BJD being hacked, but the two Migjen references eased my mind. I am a bit unsettled by the “new” BJD. Is this a sign of things to come?

I plan to do a bit of light drinking early this evening, with a goal of getting home by the 2nd half. I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but not going to stress too much about it.

    Too many dissapointments this year.
