Oh thats right. Howells development had a lot of sway with Bam. Especially when he hung up with Howell and Demarcus Cousins and K-A Towns were on the other line.

not trying to be a d, but face facts. We gott what we gott with gott. And developing big men isnt part of that package.

“Unless Gott can sign a couple of really good post players, I agree. We are just getting killed inside. I can only hope Frenchy plays his way into shape pretty quickly.”

How on gods green earth do you expect Gott to recruit a quality big man when he has never developed a big man hes ever had on his roster?

only bright spot on this team is Cat. I feel bad for him cause the rest of the team is hot garbage. The second best player on the team, Rowan, wasnt even expected to be in college 4 months ago.

watching SC at lunch and something struck me. The notes for Louisville says “4th straight S16 appearance”, which we all agree is impressive… then right next to it, is says- NC State “first S16 appearance since 2012″… as opposed to “second S16 appearance in 4 years”. Its not like 2 trips to S16 in 4 years is a bad thing, but they just dont want to admit it.

Sorry, Im a day or 2 late in replying to CD’s astute observations regarding the teams chemistry. I guess I am just confused how any of them could be jealous or upset about anything but their own play? All of them have had ample opportunity to be “THE” man and ALL of them have come up short in more ways than one. The Martins, even when they get open, cant finish (at the rim or jumpshots). Turner has been ice cold, and if his shots arent falling he is just an enormous black hole with foul trouble written all over him. And Lacey, unfortunately feels the weight of all this and its starting to affect him. I get that they all feel entitled, don’t understand team concept, etc. But at some point you’ve got to have a come to Jesus moment and realize you aren’t as good as you thought you were.

The most unfortunate part is that what this team really needs is an effective PG. One who can get you into your sets, breaks down the D with his dribble, and can hit FT’s in clutch time. Cat, much to all our chagrin (especially Gotts), just has not been very good. I really like Cat and honestly feel bad for the kid. That being said, this is Gotts bed. He shacked up with Cat and let Tyler walk (for better or worse with the daddy issues). Now we are left holding a 2-7 off suit and it doesn’t look good boys.

as Wufpack has mentioned several times… no more Marshall talk please…. that bridge was burned to the ground, pissed on, stirred, then pissed on again to make sure it was cold. For better or worse, Marshall and Yow aint gonna be working together no where no how.

hopefully DY is saving the money a buyout of S Alabama would cost so she can buy out MG.

I also think DY could sell it as that, no need to lie. Simply state She likes MG, and thinks he is a fine coach, but when you get the opportunity to bring in someone you think could be special, you do it.

Its also not like MG is achieving the goal he and DY stated at his introductory PC. Which was to be a consistent top 25 team. Hell, i cant remember when he was ever in the top 25 other than the beginning of his second year (after the S16 run we opened the season at like 23)but we lost like our second game of the season and have never been back.

so Gott has 3 yrs left on his deal after this year? For those familiar with his contract, how much Murphy money is that to buy him out? Getting rid of Gott is inevitable at this point. If we wait one more yr (for financial reasons) we run the risk of losing out on Archie, who as Rick pointed out is our only alum that is a great coaching prospect. DY needs to go ahead and pull the trigger on this one.

“If we lose out on Archie I think I might be done with NCSU basketball. IMO getting rid of Gott is inevitable. We see what he can and cannot do. Do we screw up losing our only alumn who is a great coaching prospect? NCSU history says we can screw up free ice cream.”

    ^this times 10 Rick!

CD^ how do any of them have the right to be jealous? and who exactly are they jealous of? they are all getting a ton of burn, and none of them (outside of Lacey) are really making much out of it.

…and we picked up Jakobi Meyers (dual threat QB) for this class. Although FLorida is trying to take him away from us right now.

in Gotts defense, Cat has been turrible the past few games and the Martin twins have been playing much better. While I think Cat should have been brought in much sooner in the second half (like right after that Grant kid drove the lane twice in a row on us early in the second half) thats not what lost the game for us. Poor rebounding and decision making down the stretch sealed it.

lets just hope Archie is still available in 2016 because we have at least one more yr of this mess. Gott has earned it, but gosh does he get out coached all the time.
