I also love how the media is beginning to circle this storyline like sharks. They smell blood and they are not going anywhere until they get some bodies. The more people that are involved, the messier this gets, the happier they’ll be.

All I have to say is, wow. And this:
This man should have been run out of town years ago when it was determined that he funneled media rights to the company his son works for, costing the ACC, and thus each member institution, millions. For this debacle that he is now clearly involved in, creating fictitious courses allowing athletes and the university to cheat and win and prosper over others, he deserves jail time. Mr. Smith should be yanked from the hall of fame while he’s still living and Mr. Williams needs to be fired for that place to clean up and enjoy some last place finishes in all sports for a number of years.

This is just part of the athletic side of things, and doesn’t begin to touch the recruiting/academic/economic advantages they hold and gained over other schools (ours!).
Let’s touch on other topics that have been impacted over a lengthy period of time (time of official cheating)- increased alumni giving for academics/facilities, increased revenues all over including athletics, increased national exposure, improved college ranking, better/more students applying. These are just some of the things affected by what has been happening in that cess pool for decades.
I wish I could relive some of the conversations I had with UNC-CHeat fans over the last 20 years when they still considered themselves “holier-than-thou”. Many still do.
I hope UNC-CHeat gets freaking hammered.

The math over the last 20 years becomes interesting too… especially when you consider that this stuff has been going on much longer than Wainstein showed, and in multiple academic disciplines. If you turn the tables on State’s losses to UNC-CHeat over the last 20 years, State gains ACC basketball and baseball titles, and almost evens the series for football and basketball. This doesn’t begin to touch the recruiting advantages that UNC-CHeat held over State for that time period. Where would State be today if UNC-CHeat hadn’t cheated their way to the top of NC athletics? Sports-wise and academically speaking? Everyone knows that athletics leads to increased alumni giving for academics, increased exposure, better/more students applying. /mini-rant

NC State shirt is not self-perpetuating. Just look at the injuries to the women’s basketball team over the last few weeks. Major injuries to big time players when they were/are having such a great season.
As for referee conspiracies, “they do exist”! How else do we explain a ref tossing fans or KH on shoes, or extreme calls or no-calls at the ends of games (and against specific teams). I am glad that this is starting to get attention, especially as some refs are bringing it upon themselves.

This excuse of everybody does flies so well even as a child. I think everyone’s parent replied with “if everyone jumped off a bridge would you?” There are no adults over there.
