This is now do-able. State just has to play really good ball on both ends and make LSU make mistakes.

0.1 percent of the 11.6 million brackets filled out in ESPN’s Tournament Challenge are still perfect.And those were probably filled out by non-sports fans who picked based on coin-flips or mascots.
On another note, sorry to see the Toffees get knocked out, BJD. Hopefully there will be happier news late tonight.

The worst part of it for SMU was that the shot was going to miss, and then their best shooter bricked two winners.
Right now, SMU can’t decide if it wants to put UCLA away or not. Up two with 29.1 left. And they turn it over with an awful pass to get past the press, then goaltend a three point shot to lose by one.
That was an incredible case of choking.

You had me confused for a second…usually the home team is listed first in footy listings. I plan to click back and forth to the game between watching hoops. Saturday is the big one for me, when United goes to Anfield to play Liverpool.
As for Archie, I’ve heard three Syracuse fans mention his name in the last week. He’s not going to be an unknown for a lot longer. Question is, can Arch recruit with the big boys?

The secretive nature of the Selection Committee, coupled with some relatively inexplicable decisions through the years, all adds up to political back-room deal making to me. They are relying on everything being forgotten by mid-afternoon on Thursday, but the kids and coaches from Temple won’t soon forget being snubbed illogically.
One of LSU’s guards is Keith Hornsby. He lit us up for 20+ a few years ago when he played for App State.
I expect he will be under the Cat’s paw for much of the game Thursday night. Cat’s one of the best defenders in the country, and it won’t be his first picnic against a tough opponent.
The LSU “NBA frontcourt” will be facing a good rotation of good bigs, and I would expect that our will cancel out theirs. The real question then immediately becomes whether or not they can match our backcourt, which I do not think that they will be able to do.
This is not going to be an easy game, but it is one that our players will have to look at as one that they can and will win. It’s going to require poise and complete game effort, but we ought to win the first round.
