Ned Barnett of the News & Observer was able to say some things that many State fans were not allowed to say on propaganda-laden message boards on Sunday in his piece, Pack Takes Step Back — again. I want to personally thank Barnett for a fantastic piece on a variety of levels and for not […]

Personal: Sweet 16 After 16 Years
Consider that just like in 1989, NC State is again traveling to the Northeast with a coach who is in his 9th season for a Sweet 16 game on Friday night of Easter weekend and a win would put us in the Regional Finals against another school from the Triangle who would be the favorite.
Forde: Sweet 16 & Sendek
In a week that has seen dozens of dozens of articles that proclaim that Herb Sendek has been “redeemed” for winning a single game against UConn and advancing to the Sweet 16 in his 9th year at NC State. I could spend all day trying to put the loosely-written stuff in one entry…and another week […]
Fowler: We can be “Real Good”
“Our fans are comparing ourselves to Duke and North Carolina. Every program in the country doesn’t do well when you’re compared with those two on a day-to-day basis. I understand that our fans want to be able to compete with them; we all do. But you can be real good on a daily basis and […]

I’ve had multiple emails from people asking where the heck that I have been the last few days so I felt obligated to drop a quick line to celebrate the Pack’s return to the Sweet 16! I closed on the purchase of a new home on Friday afternoon and am scheduled to close on the […]
49ers on Friday
What’s wrong with this statement from this week’s Sporting News? Best bet to pull an upset: NC State. Julius Hodge can do it all-and he’ll do whatever he can to extend his college career as long as possible. Charlotte is vulnerable after losing three straight games. If you have been a Wolfpacker for most of […]
Yawn…Fowler Gives an Interview (again)
If you don’t have a subscription to the ACC Sports Journal, then you may want to consider getting one. For only a few bucks a month you can get a lot of value. This weekend, however was not one of those days where you got a lot of value. On Saturday the ACCSJ became just […]
