Sunday Night Hoops

Sadly, the Holes have found their stride and will blow past Creighton. But we can still scout Kansas and Purdue for next Friday, and enjoy a few other nontraditional matchups – such as South Florida and Ohio vying for the right to square off against Carolina. Norfolk State is cooked, but perhaps Lehigh can squeeze by Xavier and keep a true underdog alive past the first weekend.

Xavier is on like a 22-2 run. Ouch.

just saw the replay, and I stand corrected…

it happened with 11 minutes left, not in garbage time.

Get those Holes, Groce! And congrats for a job well done. Fun team to watch, Ohio.

What the F is up with the state of Ohio: Ohio State, Cincy, Xavier and Ohio U. My golly. Talk about a swing state.

Maybe they won’t have Kellogg call our regional because his son is playing it. I certainly hope that’s the case.

Have either of these teams had any fast break points?

So I feel bad for Marshall. He seems like a stand up kid, and I’m sure he is devastated.

But someone should Document the comments on Tarheelfanblog, for whenever tar heel fans give us flack for complaining about officiating. They are just as bad when they feel the game didn’t go like they wanted.

    medgar,

Speaking of Blimpies and I heard this from some old alumni from the fraternity I was in at State.

It was the place to hang out and drink beer right on the corner where Daryl’s was for years afterward. Evidently the boys in the fraternity were really in awe of chainsaws for some reason that semester. Just to note, one of the brothers had lost a leg as a young boy in an accident.

Just so happens the guy who lost the leg ordered a replacement and it came directly to the fraternity house but he was at Blimpies drinking when it was delivered. What do young men do with too much time on their hands, a chain saw, and alcohol? They do terribly shocking things.

So they load up 4 guys in a car and tear the hell up H Street and spin out in front of Blimpies. Place is packed and the street is filled but the guys spot their fraternity brother sitting and jump out of the car, fire up a chainsaw…………..THIS IS NO LIE……….and cut off his prosthetic leg!!!!

The place goes nuts!! The police were called but somehow nobody got into any trouble.

Lucky drunks, 9 times out of 10 they would have cut the real leg.

If we somehow beat Rock Chalk Jay Hawk I will build a 40 ft tall shrine to Mr. Gott on my front lawn (until the homeowners association makes me take it down)

So who do we want to win? I’m guessing we match up better with Purdue?

  18. Sweet jumper 03/18/2012 at 9:19 PM #

I don’t care who wins. We play whoever advances. We take care of business and move on to the next game. Go Pack!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The second video of the team arriving home in Raleigh is good. Gott understands what the fans like to see: http://packinsider.com/2012/03/video-wolfpack-fans-welcome-team-back-to-raleigh-after-georgetown-win/

Neither KU or Purdue contend the perimeter all that. If Zo and CJ continue there trend outside we may have a chance to really spread the floor and give our bigs the room they need to operate

I didn’t know if Purdue could survive the big Kansas run…but they did. Would be a very fun matchup.

If you don’t get teary-eyed watching those videos you don’t bleed red & white.

My Lord I still cannot believe we’re here. Two exams this week so I couldn’t go tonight but the whole family will be there next week if we pull it off.

Somebody tell me I’m not dreaming.

Xavier survives. Lehigh just couldn’t buy a shot the entire last 25 minutes.
