Pump up time! To bowl, or not to bowl?

HUGE game for the Wolfpack today! (Link) All the marbles on the line — either Tom O’Brien will go to his third bowl in five years at NC State…or he won’t. We will either have two straight winning seasons…or we won’t.

Joe Giglio sets the table for you here…but nobody did a better job of setting the historical backdrop of today’s game than our very own ‘ruffles’ in this fantastic entry. You can click herefor CFN’s take on the game; and Caulton Tudor projected a similar score (link).

The regular-season finale finds the Wolfpack (6-5, 3-4 ACC) with a lot more to gain than anyone could have guessed three or four weeks ago. It’s hard to remember that Maryland (2-9, 1-6) started the season with that impressive win over Miami. That game must seem like a million years ago to Randy Edsall. Wolfpack, 31-14.

OMG . . . different season, same results. Unfortunatley as others have posted . . .I’m not suprised.

^agreed Gene. Cant control some TO’s but we should be able to stop the worst offense in the ACC.

WTF, our kick returner has to dodge his own man running back and away from him?

  4. eas 11/26/2011 at 2:08 PM #

TOB is always consistent at being inconsistent. I don’t see how one major win against Clemson gets him a pass to next year. I bet it will though and that is such BS!

Debbie should hand this bunch their walking papers today if we don’t pull this out. It will be telling to see how the players respond – they know what’s on the line. If they don’t play with heart, then they are also ready for a change.

I can cut and paste the post where I said if we do for UM what Clemson did for us early in the game that the results would be similar. The fact that we’ve scored still gives me a wee bit of hope, but the theory is proving to be quite true,

And all you sorry shleps who busted our collective SfN chops for being way concerned about this game can just apologize right here. K, thx.

Fire TOB! Don’t wait till half. Do it NOW.

  14. GAWolf 11/26/2011 at 2:14 PM #

I think you have to consider starting the second half withoit Glennon under center.

How many other ways can we think of to give this game away? Guess they haven’t scored on a blocked kick yet. Guess I’ll get my good football fix when VT at UVA comes on after this debacle.

Can we do anything right? I do believe Debbie Yow can.

  17. BureauOfMines 11/26/2011 at 2:15 PM #

Stick a fork in this season. It’s done.

  18. Wufpacker 11/26/2011 at 2:15 PM #

I wish I was surprised by this. My only question is what did the staff and team do all week?

  19. TheAliasTroll 11/26/2011 at 2:16 PM #

    laying a turd

  20. hammerpack 11/26/2011 at 2:17 PM #

    It’s over.

  21. GeneralNuisance 11/26/2011 at 2:17 PM #

I think they can go for a couple more turnovers before it’s done. Suprised they didn’t fumble the reverse kickoff return in the end zone. . . .sigh

  22. blackandred 11/26/2011 at 2:18 PM #

TOB needs to be fired immediately. This is a joke.

  23. WolftownVA81 11/26/2011 at 2:18 PM #

and the train wreck continues with a sack of Glennon.

  24. eas 11/26/2011 at 2:18 PM #

The staff was working on there beach houses this week. Got to get ready for the off season on the coast…..

Offense is too predictable again. Defense can’t stop anyone.

    It’s September again.
