GT Game / Potential Semi-Live Blog

We have company this morning, so I don’t know when I will post updates, or how often. Clearly, this is the biggest game of Tom O’Brien’s tenure. A win here could catapault NC State into legitimate contention for the Atlantic Division crown, along with Top 25 honors. A loss, and it’s TOB’s fourth consecutive 0-1 ACC start – and the wheels could come off quickly.

You want analysis? Our own Alpha Wolf has you covered with far better analysis than you will find anywhere in the paid media; GAWolf has set you up with a little NC State-talk in this entry; and our message boards have at least a dozen threads from this week discussing different aspects of today’s game.

You want the opinions of a simpleton like me? I’ve seen Georgia Tech play twice, and NC State play three times. NC State looked like a good football team (not great, but good). Georgia Tech looked like hot garbage smells. If we play our game, I fully expect a win today.

  3. coach13 09/25/2010 at 12:15 PM #

Let the special teams coach and Tenuta do ALL the coaching. Feeling a little better but somebody better get damned aggressive on offense.

    I want this game bad.

Somebody slap the piss outta the kicker please. Sorry mf better get his crap together.

  5. heavy 09/25/2010 at 12:16 PM #

    And a touchback!!!

  6. jrummy 09/25/2010 at 12:16 PM #

Hell yes! Great D followed by a block for TD!

  7. Sweet jumper 09/25/2010 at 12:16 PM #

Special teams TD–Yeah! If we can get up by two touchdowns, then we force Nesbitt to throw 20+ times. That’s how you beat the triple option. Come on defense. Go Pack!!

Our new commercials are lame. Shoulda kept redbeard.

  9. Sweet jumper 09/25/2010 at 12:18 PM #

    Very impressive defense so far.

mustafa is much better than haynes. follow your block then turn your shoulders and get downfield for 3 yrds.

  11. jrummy 09/25/2010 at 12:20 PM #

I like our D. Quite a nice surprise to see them handling Nesbitt and the option O so well.

Go easy on the kicker. He’s a student athlete. It would be different if he were getting paid – LIKE AT UNC!!!

  13. eas 09/25/2010 at 12:21 PM #

4 years of the worst punting game in CF.

  14. TheAliasTroll 09/25/2010 at 12:22 PM #

    Give Archer a raise

  15. eas 09/25/2010 at 12:24 PM #

I am glad we got rid of the toolbag redbeard. However, I do agree they are still rough.

    How long before Haynes fumbles?

  16. jrummy 09/25/2010 at 12:25 PM #

Our run game is getting nowhere.

  17. WolfManJack 09/25/2010 at 12:25 PM #

    again to the right side?

  18. Phang 09/25/2010 at 12:26 PM #

    Cool 10-0

  19. wolfpackattack89 09/25/2010 at 12:26 PM #

    Ckshkshshowski redeemed himself, sorta.

  20. Phang 09/25/2010 at 12:27 PM #

Y’all need to stop with the negative waves.

“I am glad we got rid of the toolbag redbeard. However, I do agree they are still rough.”

Lol, yea he was kind of a tool. However I liked the attempt at being edgy better than the same ol students-in-the-lab & graduation-shots commercial that every university in the world has. Doesn’t set us apart from anyone.

  22. heavy 09/25/2010 at 12:27 PM #

I admit, was worried during the FG attempt.

  23. Sweet jumper 09/25/2010 at 12:29 PM #

Nice drive, but need more than FG attempts from the red zone. Come on D, we need another three and out!

  24. Sweet jumper 09/25/2010 at 12:31 PM #

Allen did that all day against UNX last Saturday.

  25. coach13 09/25/2010 at 12:31 PM #

Don’t mean to be negative…just prefer the coaches to play to our strengths and kicking is not one of them…and he did miss a chip shot. Gld to see him get it together for the last one.

As far as runnning, a quick out, flat pass, get any1 the ball quick is as good as a run. take what they r giving, run later.

    Lets make GT throw!!!

    Go Pack!
