Pack vs. Noles – Bytes & Gameday Shitstorm Thread

I’m going to try very hard not to watch this train wreck, so don’t expect many updates. But there needed to be a place for the masochists to put their comments. For broader topics of conversation, your SFN profile also works on our message board forums that can be accessed by clicking here.

So, here you go. You’re welcome.

A few items of interest:

  • NC State will play this game without two more injured starters, including the ‘quarterback’ of our offensive defense. (Link) Due to the injury to Graham, the Wolfpack will take the field without an experienced returner as we have now lost all three of our returners on the year to injury — TJ Graham, Rashard Smith & James Washington.
  • North Carolina’s Shrine Bowl roster will include NC State commitment Robert Crisp, but not Tony Creecy. WRAL has more information here.
  • The N&O says that the “Chuck Amato issue has faded for NC State”. That is fascinating to me. Chuck is actually an NC State graduate who has been a part of the family for over 40 years.  With this said, when will the media arbitrarily decide the Herb Sendek issue has faded for NC State?

This week in ACC Football (NCS @ FSU is discussed around the 2:20 mark of the video).

If we’re going to suck out loud, can we at least stick some stripes on our pant legs and have nice uniforms?

  2. Pack Leader 10/31/2009 at 12:28 PM #

How many times does the staff have to see teams run slants or screens to exploit our weak zone in the secondary?????

  3. Alpha Wolf 10/31/2009 at 12:34 PM #

Leader, they believe in being steady and consistent. Give it to Archer, his D IS consistent.

2nd time this season our coaches have screwed up w/clock management before halftime. Pathetic.

2nd half adjustments for FSU and lack there of for us will probably kill us. Can we score more than 7 in the 2nd half? Maybe a hurt Ponder can equalize.

  9. PhilipRiversWannabe 10/31/2009 at 1:39 PM #

Agreed. We had 3 timeouts to use before the end of the half. And we squandered a excellent opportunity to take the lead before the half. This coaching staff is a bunch of morons.

I am here at the stadium. FSU crowd is astonishingly bad – 20000 empty seats and really quiet. Decent pack contingent. Fans were livid at the end of the half. How much are we payong these guys to screw up the most basic stuff? I had better not hear tob blame the players again.

    agreed tvp1

Terrible clock management at the end of the half.

Offense looks Ok, can the defense hold??

If it gets bad, ESPN Classic is showing the 1983 Championship Game right now.

    The good old days!!!!

It is so sad to waste such a good offensive team.

Good news! Men CC are ACC Champs

Pardon my French, but f@ck you State defense! The entire defense is a waste of scholarships and none of them deserve a spot back on the starting line up for the rest of the year and next year. That unit is an embarrassment, they lack heart and they lack passion. They have no concept of how to properly tackle a player, all they care about is trying to make the big pop and get on ESPN.
Once again F@ck you to the entire defense!

I completely see where BC fans were coming from. I owe eagle in Atlanta a major apology.

Tony: “The inability to call a timeout sooner at the end of the first half and the fumbled interception, are those 2 things that could have changed this game?”

TOB: “The fumble certainly had an effect on the game.” He went on but he never said a thing about Tony’s question about the clock management at the end of the first half.

No improvements on defense – absolutely none. Every team we play from here on out can count on at least 40 points going in. We can probably write this season off. Even a late win against the tarholes (which does not appear likely) would not help to alleviate the pain I feel.

I do not know what our defense is ranked nationally, but it must be among the worst in the Div 1.
