John Wall(and Dwon Clifton) to Oklahoma St?

So rumors Clark Francis…

Speaking of Wall and Clifton, the word on the street is that the package will be delivered to Oklahoma State as soon as the “Live Period” for college coaches is over at the end of July when Clifton get the Director of Basketball Operations job with the Cowboys.

    Oh man..gotta sneeze.

    aahhhhh NIKE…choo.

    Sorry. Carry on.

Hopefully this ends up not being the case. Losing Wall will mean any likely major turnaround won’t happen until the 2010/2011 season. However, I am much less concerned after seeing all the videos about 2010 commitment Ryan Harrow. He looks fantastic and is backing it up with great play in the recent AAU events.

Something is rotten with this one. I am glad we are not invovled.
Reminds me of the USC recruit last year. Out of no where he commits to a school and then later you hear rumors of $$.

Off topic, but gets you in the mood for tailgating.

I think that’s even Vaughn towers in the background.

brown in 09 will more than suffice… wall would give us visibility and buzz… we can continue to move forwarrd and build w/out him… especially if what they say is true… we should move away fast…

Ok State – recruiting violations – rotten???

    NO WAY!

I imagine this meets requirements for the Pickens plan at Ok State (“let’s keep cheating til we get it right boys!!”)

They’ve had Eddie Sutton, now they just need to bring in Jim Harrick or Clem Haskins to keep the legacy alive …

Anyways, off topic – but a must see … I admit that this is in poor taste, but apparently our friends in Chapel Hole have a wrestler named ‘Long Wang’ … I do not make this up, unfortunately …

Never thought we’d get him. I don’t think losing Wall means a thing because we never had him in the first place. All indications appeared that he was going elsewhere and aside from his mom wanting him to stay close, I don’t think he ever intended to come here. I don’t know what he sees in Oklahoma but according to unencyclopedia – “[o-kla-homa-]” founded in 1905 by a lost boy and his dog (rumored to be Lassie) looking for Greece, is a big, bland and boring squarish shaped place barely worthy of being called a state. The people who live there descended from the same six families who settled there from Arkansas. Since incest has never been formally banned, most people are related. The weather is at best, schizophrenic and bipolar, this is due to God wondering why the f@#$ he didn’t just make a big pan shaped lake – so he’s got that going for him.

It would be nice to afford a bridge to the next year and unfortunately we will have to play on a broken bridge once again unless one of the various point guards really step up. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have a great point guard at the helm but I’m not all that let down by Wall’s potential decision because I never expected to him come here in the first place.

    They do have good steaks!

I don’t think we should get all worked up about Brown either. We haven’t landed him yet and anything could happen. Didn’t JJ pull a fast one on Georgia or one of those schools out there?

Regardless, it’s not doom and gloom, we’ll figure something out.

I guess the $400 million that old T-bone Pickens gave to Oklahoma State is starting to buy some good players.

Alfa — good steaks? Aren’t those Omaha Steaks?

  11. SidtheKid 07/24/2008 at 4:47 PM #

My name is T Boone Pickens and I approve this illegal payment to amateur athletes.

  12. Anthony Grundy 07/24/2008 at 5:33 PM #

    haha, pretty funny Sid

  13. Afterglow 07/24/2008 at 6:16 PM #

Damn, you’re right BoKnowsNCS71! I’m not sure what he has going for him then.

  14. SaccoV 07/24/2008 at 7:58 PM #

Wall might be great, but given the past, albeit unfair, scrutiny that State has had to endure with recruits, I think it best for both sides if Wall went elsewhere. Besides, Wall is probably still under the assumption that Sid’s remaining there depends on his commitment and that’s far too much for any kid, let alone a kid who could bring some unneeded baggage with him, should have to endure.

Wufpup76 — I saw Long Wang wrestle at Cary High School recently and he’s very good. I’m really looking forward to State’s wrestling season this year, even though DC is “gone.”

  15. melikesncsu 07/24/2008 at 9:03 PM #

I think the latest is that DC is not gone.

  16. redfred2 07/24/2008 at 9:04 PM #

    SaccoV,

So let me get this, um, straight, you’re saying that Long Wang…is GOOOOD!!!???

  17. redfred2 07/24/2008 at 9:20 PM #

If that Long Wang kid does go to unc, he’ll never set foot out of the men’s dorm.

  18. SaccoV 07/25/2008 at 1:15 AM #

Redfred, I guess I opened my mouth a bit too much on that one. Wait, I think I just did it again. Dammit. The jokes never end with this guy.

  19. Par Shooter 07/25/2008 at 7:43 AM #

Aren’t we allegedly going to have an opening in the position of Director of Basketball Operations in the next week or so? I’m just sayin’…

  20. lush 07/25/2008 at 7:49 AM #

    did noone notice this?

“It looks like 6’7 Soph Ramon Eaton from Sacramento (Sheldon) CA and 6’6 Soph Darius Nelson from Sacramento (Sheldon) CA are already talking about going to college as a package and they’re considering schools like Nevada, Oregon, UCLA, Georgetown, and N.C. State.”

Who are these guys? Do we have a realistic shot at getting them? Apparently they like the idea of a wolf pack / wolfpack.

  21. Noah 07/25/2008 at 8:11 AM #

Is Darius any relation to DeMarcus from Dook? He was from Sacramento as well.

(Yes, I know that Nelson is a common name)

  22. Ismael 07/25/2008 at 8:53 AM #

how in the hell do you read a site like that, ive got a migraine.

That whole Wall and Clifton thing sounds like status quo of what goes on over at The ‘Hole

  23. redfred2 07/25/2008 at 4:20 PM #

Sorry Sacco V, I guess we could go on forever, but somebody might get hurt if we keep poking fun with Long Wang.

  24. AfterglowXP 07/25/2008 at 5:36 PM #

Long Wang, 5’9″, 157, size 18 shoe… an education at UNC? Pricelessly idiotic. Oh, sorry, wrong post.

  25. redfred2 07/25/2008 at 9:15 PM #

HA HA!!! Afterglow, as well as Sacco V, funny stuff!!! But maybe everyone else would rather talk about BB instead. It seems they’re getting kind of SORE about all of this Long Wang stuff.
