BC Second Half Thread

First half recap…there was much punting. And the roughing the kicker penalty we all knew we would get. BC needs to start going for 2 every time. Daniel Evans completes 50% of his passes instead of Stone’s 40%, but the end result is similar.

Take it from here in the comments.

    Fumbled snap…there’s some hope! Let’s go D!

As long as our starting tackles are Jon Holt and James Newby, we might as well punt on first down.

Evans didn’t play horribly…he certainly missed a number of open receivers….but he rarely had any time to throw. Most of the time, he had two BC defenders in his backfield, ready to knock the pass down.

That’s all we wanted to see. Intensity, heady QB play, and except for some damn false start penalties, they didn’t beat themselves. And Evans was special at the end, as was Dunlap.

Now it’s time to enjoy our week and half on top of the division, HEH-HEH.

damn right!!!! what a win!!! very good job by the guys out there… still had a lot of unecessary mistakes, and our coaching decisions are questionable… but that didnt stop the team.

    GO PACK!!!

I know Chuck made a couple of questionable decisions, like the punt challenge and no T.O. before the half. (?) But he made both decisions in earnest, I guess because he was afraid in both cases to let there be a momentum change back to BC if there was turnover deep. I thought Trestman called a fair-to-middling game.

WHHHHHHEEEEEEHHHHHHEEEEEWWW!!!!! That was just something that doesn’t usually happen for us!!! Tank Tyler certainly made up for his ejection last week and D. Evans looks to have a lot more potential than Stone. The D stepped up big and the offense is looking better! Evans certainly has room to improve, but I think he threw it more down the field than Stone has his whole career. Stone certainly seemed to be taking it like a true team player though. GO PACK!!

Wow…incredible way to pull that game out…in spite of ourselves on many levels! But this win will definitely provide a spark, one that, hopefully, will ignite a fire that will lead us to the type of season that this team is capable of!!! Go Pack!!!

Give us that bad call with Akron back and we are 3-1.

Chuck Amato, about to cry at the post game interview. He deserves a few breaks his way!!! Totally happy for the guy!!!

Incredible stuff! Just let the QB play!!! Evans BMOC for sure. First game as a starter, all the talk about the Evans family, his Dad’s legacy and what he’s all about now, this has to be among the best memories in the history of NC State football.

Let’s hope it is the first domino.

Watching the replay on DVR I cried watching Stone and Evans. Evans was great and but Stone moved me to tears with his joy in Evans success and love of his team.

With all the OL’s short-comings, As a team we won the sack battle 2 to 3. We need help in our run-blocking. Surely we have SOMEBODY with a nasty attitude who can block. We might be wasting #55 John Amanchukwu on the D side of the ball. The rest he is giving Brooks and (Martrel) Brown could come from keeping the O on the field just as well.

2nd half overall — better O, better D. I love it when we are getting better in the game.

Winning cures a lot. Fewer boo birds.

Even if you don’t like Stone’s quaterback play (I don’t) you have to admire the young man’s attitude. Maybe this is the beginning of something good (just like in ’75 when Ted Brown cracked the starting lineup).
