Remember this name (not the one in the headline, but the departing head man)? In case you have forgotten, here a few SFN posts that addressed the Monty boomlet (along with a much less concrete scenario involving Larry Brown): Link #1, Link #2, Link #3 (although this does not mention Monty by name, our “leniency” was based primarily on increased whisperings in that direction), and Link #4. There very likely are other references, but I can’t find them all.
Just looking through the April/May SFN archives is a real trip down memory lane. Going through my e-mail inbox is even more so. Rumors, rumors of rumors, even substantiated rumors! Of course, it’s all water under the bridge now, and we hope for Coach Lowe to lead us back to greatness.
