The Dream is Alive!

What tired legs? The Pack only commits one turnover against the late Hokie press, and nails free throw after free throw (while VT barely cleared the 40% bar from the charity stripe). I have no idea how in the hell we could manage to derail the UNC freight train tomorrow…but there’s nobody I would rather to go into battle with than Coach Lowe and this group of players (well, I would like Rodney Monroe to leave the stands and lace them up). Your final score – NC State 72, Virginia Tech 64.

    Unreal.

No one change anything you are doing. Wear the same clothes, watch the game in the same place. Keep the Karma alive.

To quote the gin blossoms: Congratulations, I’m sorry.

I wouldn’t ever count out this bunch of wuffies and Red Chocolate, but I expect tomorrow to go about like the game at the dome did.

Umm… did you just quote the Gin Blossoms? I mean. Are you serious?

  6. justaguy 03/10/2007 at 6:40 PM #

    Chris,

If you weren’t worried you wouldn’t be posting. Fans from 3 other teams approached the pack with the same attitude.

thanks for your input chris9tohell, but i think the game in raleigh would be the one to emulate. . .

this is so insane. I cant celebrate yet though. I kinda feel numb all over. I really hope we can contain UNC.

As a Wolfpack fan, and as a 1983 grad… and after watching LF f up a search and hearing the media lambast us… I would like to know… is there a chance we can expect to compete against Duke and UNC?

KMA to all the mediat who belittled us for wanting something that we KNEW could be achieved…

I listened to the post game interview – Sid mentioned that today is V’s birthday. How awesome.
    Well played men!
Now let’s take out the holes!!!!!

On top of doing the same thing, please PRAY FOR ENGIN’S HAMSTRING TO BE O.K. TOMORROW. We all know how important he is for us to have a chance at winning.

  14. BJD95 03/10/2007 at 6:47 PM #

What do you think, 92heel – will it be fun to say “go to hell State” tomorrow with something big on the line?

  15. PapaJohn 03/10/2007 at 6:47 PM #

    Gene- ditto!

  16. vtpackfan 03/10/2007 at 6:47 PM #

Words can’t describe it. Here’s to a little “free throw defense” to carry over tommarrow.

Any update on what Atsurs status was? Did he suffer leg cramps or re-injur his hamstring?

  17. PapaJohn 03/10/2007 at 6:48 PM #

No mention of the hamstring in the post game

We have been battle tested. Steel that’s tempered in fire. UNC is on auto-pilot. Name the ACC game they played this year that went down to the last minute and won?

  19. beowolf 03/10/2007 at 6:49 PM #

Man, I cannot believe this! Somehow the team played its way through the fatigue and found their legs late in the game.

Trees will tap-dance, elephants will drive in the Indy 500, and Orson Welles will skip breakfast, lunch and dinner before NC State beats the heels tomorrow.

Greenberg did not give the Pack any credit for the win, “… we didn’t play well …but we’ll be in the NCAA tournament tomorrow, maybe good things will happen.” No class.
What about that defense we played?????

  22. VladsCross 03/10/2007 at 6:56 PM #

Crow is such a hard meal to get past the gullet. Maybe you media flunkies should try a little humble pie.

Let’s here from all those gloom and doom Herb lovers now. God how I love this!

  23. drewhuff 03/10/2007 at 6:57 PM #

who woulda thunk it? tomorrow is gonna be tough. our guys are tired and battered, but i think sid will have them ready. i have to believe he has a little something up his sleeve. what i wouldnt give to be a fly on the wall in that locker room.

  24. VladsCross 03/10/2007 at 6:59 PM #

OK, I know it’s a bit of dirty pool, but I would send out a flunkie off the bench a real pine warmer to toss a little action at Tylers snozz

  25. tvp 03/10/2007 at 6:59 PM #

I think Greenberg is a dick, personally. Sid owns him.
