I was at the game. Same old story, too many empty ‘high end’ seats.
I suspect MZ did what every ACC team will do, shut down TJ. That and the zone will be our Achilles heel this year.

Yikes! 1-8 against top 25 teams??? Didn’t realize it was that bad. Well, we got our first OOC road win at UT, maybe we’ll double our record against the Top 25.

Super worried about Cat, Dez and Ralston dealing with the foul trouble.

I hadn’t noticed that both the men AND women were preseason 10th place picks.
Congrats to Coach Moore and the team, they are playing great. A great hire by Yow.

Could this be a season in which both bball teams exceed expectations? Exciting!

    85Designo – Congratulations proud Dad!

Hope TL puts the team over his ego. There’s only one thing standing between he and more playing time – shooting. And that’s on him. Put the time in the gym, hit a hundred threes a day over Christmas, and voila! You’re splitting PG time with Cat again. If you need help, ask for it. Coach Moxley is supposed to be good at coaching outside shooting. Don’t be a victim, own your issues and fix them.

Beejay is still a year away from being the dominant inside presence we need him to be, but he has amazing timing. And long arms. I think we’re gonna love this kid.

You’ve “Gott” to give it to him. Gott brought in an amazing freshman class.

This team keeps getting better and better, and the defense was outstanding tonight – may be two sentences never before uttered in the same SFN post.

And I agree with them. Great game.

    * The Wolfpack just seems to be getting better and better.
    * The defense was outstanding tonight.

I believe if you assigned the vast SFN research staff the task of finding either of these two sentences in a post about Pack hoops … well, you’d have to dig a long time. And if you looked for both sentences in one article, I don’t think you’d find them.

And I agree with both statements.

Heard one of the ESPN talking heads say that they’d talked to Mrs Saban. She said there was no way Nick was moving to Texas. She acknowledged that they are at a frustrating state, of their own making, at ‘Bama where anything less than a national championship is perceived as failure. But she said there was no chance they’d move to TX.
We’ll see who’s wearing the britches at the Saban household.

Well, Brissett is going to be a star for at least 9 months. Hope he’s got something once he hits the field.

Dick has sort of bought into his own persona, and become a caricature of himself. Pretty obnoxious most of the time, but you have to love his loyalty to Jimmy V.

And if he has to latch onto a program, Duke’s an excellent choice.

Every game I get more excited about this team, and then I read something like this to bring me back down to earth. Not saying he’s totally right, but it’s still early and we did lose to Central. And I predict a rough couple of weeks coming up after exams.

Quote from SI’s Seth Davis …
“If you’re making a list of good players on bad teams, make sure you include N.C. State sophomore forward T.J. Warren. He is averaging 23 points and 7 rebounds; once his three-point shooting kicks in, he’ll be unstoppable.”

Thanks for the note DD, I think you are sincere. We’ll give you this year.
Now deliver that recruiting class, and set the recruiting standard for our future classes.

Missou may be too much for these guys, but I look forward to the game. That will be a great measure of what to expect night in and out in the league. I agree w/ Wulfpack, we’re probably an NIT team – but like any Pack fan, I’m hoping for more.

I had them going 9/4 in the preseason, losing to Cincy, LBS, Tenn & Missou. We traded Central for LBS, but otherwise are right on that track. Historically young teams struggle on the road – I would love to pick up that Tenn game to start our league play with a road win under out belts. They beat Wake, so won’t be easy.

ECU looks scary, they’ve only lost to UNC-W and Duke and had Duke on the ropes until late. One of those lose/lose games we get no credit for winning, and a black eye for losing.

Surprised at the list of suitors. No major hoops powerhouses like KU, UK, the blues, etc on his list. You’d expect to see several of the name brands from the northeast.
Nice to pick up what appears to be a talented big who is unlikely to immediately jump to the NBA, but curious about what the lack of major offers is telling us. Nobody flies under the radar anymore.

    Keep it up, Gott!!
