I don’t think we have to worry about any early defections based off of this year’s performances and presence on the All-ACC lists. It will be nice to see how this year’s recruiting class shapes up, and how well DD develops talent from last year’s class but I’m hopeful for the future.
As well as we played and as bad as we made UNC look I don’t put us in the top 3-4 programs in the ACC yet but I think we can compete to be at the top of the next tier next year with Brissett.
If we can replace our defensive front with equivalent play and get improved play from LB and secondary then I think we will be on to something. I think our offense from every position is moving in the right direction. Hopefully we will see FAR FAR fewer dropped balls next year. That stalled so many drives for us this year. I expect O-Line to improve, WR’s to improve, along with Shad and Dayes dominating carries in the backfield.
I think that’s enough for 4-4/5-3 ACC and hopefully another 4-0 clip in the non conference next year and a pretty good bowl game. DD is getting a few explosive players here and there which is good. If he’s able to leverage this momentum to get dynamic explosive players across the board and Mclendon (QB) performs as advertised (in two years) then I will be a very happy wolfpacker for the next few years. Of course if if was a fifth then we’d all be drunk… GO PACK!
Perfect time to leave the ACC. Maybe the threat will put enough pressure on Swofford to resign.
We took 5 teams from the big east. They have already added TCU and we should give them 5 more.
The commissioner from the Big East (SEC would probably make us beg) should be on the horn with us and UVA or us and FSU right now.
Yow had to be livid before the game even started based on the KH mess. Add to it the calls start to finish. All of our bigs had 4 fouls an CJL picks up 3 in the second half in about 10 mins. AJ gets run over, RH hacked and no calls except for the now infamous “SYFAU!”
Thankfully FSU finally pulled a few out this year but between them and BC I think hose two programs have gotten jobbed as often as we have. FSU gives South Florida an instate rival and the Big East entry into Tobacco Rd with us. We just took Pitt and Cuse. They should come for NC state and whoever wants to come with us. (FSU or UVA)
The ACC was fun 35 years ago. Now they can keep it. It’s not respected in anything. Peace!
