Does anyone else think it would be beneficial to run the Wood Trailer play for Turner?
I’m for anything that can get BSW some open looks and can get him in a groove.
Good energy that half and a nice defensive effort. Half of Pitt’s points came from offensive rebounds and State turnovers (8 from OReb’s and 2 from that awful pass early)
I think if you charted out KW’s left handed hook shots you would see a very low percentage of success. Go back to your two handed 10-15 foot jumpers.
I think MG is rightly hesitant to speed up the offense, both because our speed guy (Cat) is struggling with his confidence, and also because it can lead to transition chances for Pitt (almost the only way they can score).
Methinks he’s putting his chips behind grinding out a win by any (ugly) means necessary. We will speed up more when playing with house money next week.
It’s been such a weird season for our bigs. ALMKH dropped 60 pounds, and all of a sudden has no energy and can’t play offense. KW improved his defense by leaps and bounds, and he’s now a total mess offensively.
Only Frenchie is what we expected, in any way, shape, or form.
Pitt can’t shoot and if it wasn’t for State’s inability to grab a defensive rebound consistently then the Pack would have a double digit lead.

It still looks like Cat does not feel free to play his game. He must be more aggressive in the transition and must do more than stand at the top of the circle dribbling. That accomplishes nothing.
This is the best half-court defense we’ve seen State play in basically forever. The rebounding thing drives me up the fucking wall, though. It’s like being a 3D calculus genius that can’t do simple arithmetic.
Team identity still undetermined, but workin on it
I’m guessing that’s because it’s leader doesn’t have one and/or hasn’t given it to them on a daily basis.

This half I’m going to try to track good/bad shots other than obvious, like lay ups or late shot clock. For starters:
KW 12 ft hook = bad
RT wing 3 = good
