back-n-da-day, the addicts would ‘knock over’ a drug store
to steal the opiates. of course, they would grab everything
and sort it out later. the law would find the cocaine in
a trash can Because it WASN’T WORTH Much back then.

bottom line: cocaine was common and of little value.Drugstore Cowboy is a really neat film. And yeah, I could see powdered dilaudid being their Holy Grail. That’s what they give ya intraveneously when one is writhing in agony from a kidney stone. Tis effective.
I once had a patient named “Dilaudid”. Owned by a really hot blonde, in fact. Always figured she’d be fun.
