Jerricho Cotchery is Still Representing the Pack

Although this past football season wasn’t exactly one for the books, it’s nice to know that there are some solid NFL players that came out of NC State, one of which is looking at an exciting game this Sunday.

Jerricho Cotchery has come a long way since being drafted in 2003 as he and the Carolina Panthers train in San Jose for the Super Bowl this weekend. Cotchery has been with the Carolina Panthers since 2014 and it clearly has been a good ride with them. This past season he had 39 catches for 485 yards, averaging 34.6 yards a game, which has gone down since his peak in 2007 with 75.3 yards per game, but he’s a got a few years on him now.

However, while he’s been in the NFL, Cotchery’s stayed true to his Red and White roots repping the Pack both on and off the field.

Cotchery has been fantastic for the Panthers. He’s come up with some big catches on this miracle run. What looked like a below average receiving core to start the year (no Kelvin Benjamin) has turned into a surprise. Ask Arizona if they can play. Cam and the boys have had a tremendous year. One more to go. Go Panthers.

Jericho is one of my favorite former Wolfpackers (Torry Holt is my favorite, how can I go wrong there).

I’m happy to see him playing for the Panther’s and am proud of his success.
