NC State at Louisville – Game Thread

The last time NC State invaded the Bluegrass State Commonwealth, I was there. We got our asses kicked, and I drank lots of beer.

Today will be different. I’m on my couch, and I’m out of beer.

Stonehands with the drop after hitting him in the hands.

4th and 2, we throw for ONE. Like going for it, though.

He’s been taking Eric Leak lessons, perhaps.

If you’re going for it you run the ball on 3rd down. This is so basic

Clearly Dayes stretched the ball to the 24. The spot was the 25. Bad call already, but I like the go for it attitude.

That reach looked good to me. But nice 3 and out by the D.

Sade’s slump is also a factor there. Mathematically the right call.

^Agree in principle, in fairness though if MVS hauls that in he probably scores there.

ESPN3 sound is so bad that I have garbled stupidity for audio. Huxtable made some adjustments after that first series.

I think if we take the 3 there, we are down 7-3 and giving up the ball. Granted we stopped them (OK, they stopped themselves) but we need to match their scoring if we want a chance. L has a great D and we cant afford to trade 7 for 3.

Let’s see if we can keep moving the ball this series.

Welp, maybe MVS *will* catch a big one today … there’s always hope, I guess

Bo Hines and David Grinnage are the same person. The “key players” graphic, both had the same picture. Nice job production crew.

I think we may get the ball back! Thanks Louisville!

And there could be the break we need – keep this drive moving.

Any first down is a good one. Keep our D off the field as long as possible.

Clearly we’re gonna need to complete our fair share of 3rd and 4 or 5 plays today

    Nice job, Jacoby

^Not to sell our guys short, but I haven’t been overly impressed w/ Louisville all season. That said, they probably should have won in Death Valley where we lost 41-0 … so …
