There Will Be LiveBlog Tonight

This is a perfect opportunity to bring back a sometimes loved, sometimes hated staple of SFN – the game night LiveBlog. It had been mostly on permanent hiatus due to superstitious factors (i.e., bad juju beyond our control), but with a rebuilding Wolfpack squad facing one of the three best teams in the country…there’s no jinx worry to be had. We will have light-hearted fun, with a bit of casual profanity, regardless of result.

Though if it gets really ugly, we could find ourselves talking about Eagles/Chiefs and/or Breaking Bad. This is more like Nam, and less like bowling. There are no rules.

One caveat – I will have to admit permanent jinx status if, say, an airplane falls from the sky and lands on Coach Doeren’s head. Quick, somebody contact BillyWitchDoctor.com to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Oh, and if you didn’t watch last night’s new “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”…do. You won’t be sorry.

    ARISE CHICKEN.

  2. DC_wolf 09/19/2013 at 10:48 AM #

    ARISE, SIR SON OF CLEM.

Norman and Cato-Bishop hold the keys to our success. If they can flatten and harrass Boyd enough we could slow them down and make it a tight 4th Qtr.

Our OL just needs to play like they are possessed. We should be able to run rough shot behind Chistophe and Crisp and not take many chances in the passing game save trick-o-roo.

Spoiler Alert: 27-24 on 4th down conversion play from Sherriffs to Watson in the late hours. It never matters who coaches or who the opponent is. NC State is just unbeatable on Thursday nights @ the Carter.

    Go Pack!!!

    Profanity should never be casual.

I’m always careful whenever I say stupid shit.

  5. 4in12 09/19/2013 at 12:31 PM #

    Any late word on Crisp?
Last I heard, his upper extremity was questionable.

  6. tjfoose1 09/19/2013 at 12:33 PM #

We need two things to happen for a chance of winning… Run the ball and run the clock + Clemson pulling a Clemson.

Even with both, it’s still only a chance.

Regardless of the outcome, it will be Clemson who defeats the loser.

The Wolfpack will need luck to win. Luck being where preparation meets opportunity, and Clemson providing the opportunity.

Chances of that happening?… Well, we got CF, a top 10 team, a full moon, and rising chickens. Oh, and a CD prediction. That’s good enough for me.

    vt –

Saw where Crisp was doubtful for tonight, so we’ll need for a sub to step up big time…

Just keep it under 50, boys !!!!!

  8. DC_wolf 09/19/2013 at 12:43 PM #

A lot of press being given to Doeren’s 14-0 home winning streak.. but here’s a lil’ nugget you may have missed: Wolfpack is 18-3 in their last 21 home games. Wolves Den, baby.

In spite of that nearly 86% success rate, I’m just not feeling it tonight (remember, we plum EMBARRASSED them in Raleigh last time..). So how ’bout this season of Breaking Bad?

  9. tjfoose1 09/19/2013 at 12:44 PM #

    It we’re talking numbers…

Wolfpack it 3-0 in last 3 games against top 10 teams at CF.

  10. tjfoose1 09/19/2013 at 12:45 PM #

If Roy isn’t doing anything tonight, maybe we could put him in the upper deck with his BB gun.

  11. phillypacker 09/19/2013 at 12:58 PM #

Any of you gents know if the game will be available to watch on replay on ESPN3 after it airs on ESPN tonight? I can’t watch it live. By the way, I live outside Hickory now. Good to be back.

  12. phillypacker 09/19/2013 at 1:03 PM #

Only let Roy shoot at players in orange.

  13. tjfoose1 09/19/2013 at 1:05 PM #

    Philly,

ESPN puts all their games on ESPN3 for replay. Not sure where you’ll be, but with the WatchESPN app, you can watch on smart phone, iPad, or tablet.

DC_Wolf….and others, please respect idiots like myself who just recently discovered Breaking Bad and are getting caught up…finished season 4 last night. 🙂

  16. PackerInRussia 09/19/2013 at 1:12 PM #

Geez, vtpackfan, you ruined it for me. Now it won’t even be fun to watch it.
Go Pack, looking forward to downloading it and watching it tomorrow evening. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed.

  17. tjfoose1 09/19/2013 at 1:14 PM #

No CD yet… I’ll assume he’s busy with Haitian contacts.

” NC State is just unbeatable on Thursday nights @ the Carter.”

Not to be “that guy”, but we gotta get our facts right if the voodoo mojo magic is gonna work.

Thursday night, October 13, 2005, vs Clemson. The Mexi-cam game.

It wasn’t pretty. We couldn’t even line up on-sides.

That was the first ever game that I left early. Last year’s UVA game was next. I can sit through an FSU butt-whupping, but not incompetence and don’t care.

  19. Texpack 09/19/2013 at 1:39 PM #

Hold ’em under 50 and 500 yards Total Offense. I’ll be shocked if Taj Boyd is still in the game at the half way point of the third quarter.

Because there is a Full Moon tonight I still have hope.

  20. Wolfgarden 09/19/2013 at 1:39 PM #

Profanity is for those who lack a vocabulary or have trouble expressing themselves (and boy watch out for the expressions I get for making this comment). We do need to run run run the pig…then we will like a good wolf, huff and puff and huff and puff and blow the Clemson house down…it’s Thursday night, can’t touch that can they?

  21. phillypacker 09/19/2013 at 1:40 PM #

Packer in Russia, season 4 was great but season 5 is epic, remarkable, historic. By the way, if you want to feel impressed by what a great actor Bryan Cranston is, watch Samuel L. Jackson do the “I am the danger” monologue on Facebook. Jackson does his very best with it and its not even close.

  22. bill.onthebeach 09/19/2013 at 1:53 PM #

…we’ll need everything you guys have listed above…. plus we need *not to have anybody hurt so badly so as they cannot play next week….

I would love for the Miracle to happen but…
…. we got a lot of football yet to play this season….

  23. TheCOWDOG 09/19/2013 at 1:59 PM #

Damn…I was hoping to stay away from that evil Haitian bitch. Only so much more Dorian Grey left.

But, someone just had to go and mention Billy. Mdmse. Le Croix hates that little fraud.

Off to Mt.Olive for a visit. Hope to be alive for the game.

  24. BJD95 09/19/2013 at 2:02 PM #

I dare say that this Clemson team is the best opponent we have faced, at least in my conscious memory. Really truly, I think they are on par with Bama and Oregon.

Missing our LT…is not likely to help.

I finally caught up on Breaking Bad with a combo of Netflix and AMC “on demand” right before this last batch of 8 episodes. I feel like a methhead waiting for his next fix. A week is a long time to wait. I chose “The One Who Knocks” for my work fantasy league.

Profanity is also for the lazy, and I am guilty as f-cking charged. I dunno why I am more profane in the moment for game threads. I ain’t no head shrinker.

Originally, I mostly conjured Billy to make Cowdog appear. But now that I think of it, Son of Clem fans do refer often to the “Chicken Curse” – right? After all Billy’s magic “work better with chicken.”

    Apt, I say. Apt.
