The slate certainly looks like Alabama/TAMU and a whole bunch of nap opportunities. But some other games will turn out more interesting than we expect. That’s the beauty of saturation TV coverage, the more darts thrown, the better chance something will hit.

I will probably mostly watch Everton/Chelsea until 2:30, especially given the weakness of the early games.

I don’t care about ‘Bama vs A&M. I want to see UNC vs Oklahoma State.

^But Okie State is an athletic scandal and unx is an ‘academic’ one…would they meet on the field, in the classroom, or (most likely) in a court of law?

UCLA and Nebraska is a good one at noon. Also, we will see how great Bridgewater is at Kentucky. We have Tennessee and Oregon during commercials at 3:30. Manziel is going to get rocked by Bama. Tonight we have Vandy and South Carolina, Miss State and Auburn, and Mississippi and Texas. In the ACC, VT and ECU at noon and GT and Duke at 3:30. Blach.

Why da fuq should I care what Lyle Lovett has to say about college football?

I’m actually quite serious about this.

ESPN is very close to jumping the shark when it comes to College Gameday.

Vandy and the Chickens is my sleeper game of the day. I’m excited to see that.

Can’t believe with all this week sauce on the docket…Ole Miss and TX isn’t on real TV.

Agree that the Damn Tide rolls today. Saban will be out for blood and I really think Manziel has lost his teammates and/or undermined his head coach’s authority.

Didn’t take the Pie-rats long to jump on the wounded turkeys.

Nebraska looking good early. 14-3 over UCLA

Alabama is 8 point favorite. The media has blown that game out of proportion but they have to get the average fan excited about something.

Nebraska might be legitimately good this year. I can’t really tell. The Pac 12 South is freaking terrible, that’s for sure.

Everton somehow keeping up with Chelsea so far, nil nil and the balance of play about equal.

  10. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 12:59 PM #

Media has blown it out of proportion? It is a big game. Certainly the biggest game today with this very bland slate.

#1 vs. #6. National champions against returning Heisman winner. I don’t blame the media for hyping that.

WTF is wrong with the ‘Ville today? I haven’t been watching that one but just clicked over to check score.

Are they pulling an NCSU so far today? Shooting selves in foot, that is?

Or is UK putting up a good fight?

Wake in a dogfight with UL Duck Dynasty.

Partial Qualifier U…I mean Akron…giving UM all they can handle in the Big House.

Look at former Texas Golden Boy and Major Applewhite inferior Chris Simms on the color for VT-ECU.

Come on Everton. 1-nil at the 61st minute over Chelski.

  19. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 2:02 PM #

Everton is REALLY short-handed this game, too. No Pienaar, Kone, or Lukaku. Splendid effort.

    …hope you guys had a good week….

for the record… I am bored Shatless without some Pack football today….

although it does look like the Pie-rats are giving Tech all they can handle….

maybe I’ll pull for Dook against the other Tech later…

Timmy Howard has had a very good week — after he left Costa Rica, that is. Three games in three continents (virtually, I know C.R. is technically in North America but essentially it is a South American country for all intents and purposes.)

    What a win for Everton!

  22. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 2:25 PM #

    Woohoo!!!!!

Howard made a very bad mistake in the first half (Gareth Barry miraculously bailed him out), but he made up for it and then some.

This day is messed up. No State game to go to. Thursday hurry up and get here. We should pack the house, and make lots of noise. A win would be great for the program in this one, with the success of the tigers so far.

  24. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 2:29 PM #

Nice recovery from the early UCLA DERPage.

  25. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 2:37 PM #

Watching Duke/Tech over Bama/TAMU? No way no how, not in this household. I am now scouting Wake. And they are in a world of trouble down against ULM late. But you can guarantee they will have their best game against us.
