Afternoon/Evening Bubble Watch

Oregon State leads Washington inside of 40 seconds left. Alabama has choked up a big lead and is tied with lowly South Carolina.

Feeling now like tomorrow’s tilt with the Hoos will be our play-in game.

In the last 23 seconds, the Huskies and Beavers missed 7 straight free throws

That’s the Pac 12 we all know and love.

Would love to see someone break out a white headband tomorrow with “SWOFFORD” written across it a la Jim McMahon’s “ROZELLE”.

Oregon State wins. Pop goes the Huskie bubble. Alabama up 3 very late.

The Pac-12’s #1 seed goes down. I can’t see Washington making the tournament. Of course, I think the Pac 12 should be a one bid league. Don’t know why they’d deserve 2. No team in that conference has done anything.

    Pac12 is soooo unwatchable.

I’m in Seattle and my co-workers were literally throwing things at the screen just then… that was fantastic. Glad UW went ahead and cleared out a space for us on the bubble. Thanks UW!

At least Washington should take comfort that they have an automatic NIT bid as a regular season champ.

That said, if a crap Pac-12 school gets a bid, that takes one from the bubble, you want solid schools to get the auto bids.

Agree with the sentiment of the other thread. NC State fans need to go all in for Stanford to run table.

    Let’s go Gophers!

  11. BJD95 03/08/2012 at 6:09 PM #

Northwestern playing on ESPN2 and Colorado State on CBSS in the 5:30 window. Each needs only this one win to stay in front of the Pack (if we win tomorrow).

  12. wufpup76 03/08/2012 at 6:10 PM #

Let’s go Gophers and Horned Frogs (Horned Frogs beat Uva, btw).

Gophers come out with their hair on fire. They had been awful down the stretch.

  15. Wufpacker 03/08/2012 at 6:15 PM #

NWern looking very uninspired thus far. Not much like a team with a purpose.

  16. JeremyH 03/08/2012 at 6:17 PM #

    Gophers look great.

Gophers look great. Their guards are sharp.

    is this for real???

three refs at the wake/md game wore tape on their shoes with the letters KH on them. Can these three refs or any ACC ref call a fair and impartial game when the pack is playing?

  19. BJD95 03/08/2012 at 6:25 PM #

14-2 Mildcat run and NW leads.

  20. eas 03/08/2012 at 6:45 PM #

It’s 4 reals Tuckerdorm. Pretty dang $hitty for the ACC to let that go on.

  21. BJD95 03/08/2012 at 6:46 PM #

Minny keeps nailing threes to stay in it. 36-34 NW at the half. Colorado State up 10.

  22. tuckerdorm1983 03/08/2012 at 6:54 PM #

$hitty indeed my friend. WTF???? OMG when I saw this I LOL. At least the writer asks the question “Can nc state get a fair shake”. Why don’t the refs wear RW on their shoes or MK and be done with it.

  23. MrPlywood 03/08/2012 at 7:54 PM #

    NW/Minn to OT…

  24. WolftownVA81 03/08/2012 at 7:58 PM #

Debbie should be on fire over this KH recognition stunt well as the other ADs. Why do these refs think they are so F-N important that they get to be in the limelight. This is just down right unbelievable. At least it gives credance to the conspiracy theorist among the lunatic fringe. We will not get a fair shake in this league. Debbie, I’m behind you if you decide to bolt.

  25. BJD95 03/08/2012 at 7:58 PM #

You can see why NW loses close games. Their sphincters have been absurdly tight down the stretch and in OT. Hope they enjoy NIT play a little more.
