A Wolfpack/Cardinal(s) Sunday

Hey, look at the symmetry! On this same splendid Fall Sunday, the Wolfpack has a great “house money” basketball game at the Stanford Cardinal, and will almost certainly be invited to play football against the Louisville Cardinals in Charlotte’s Belk Bowl. Let us hope that a good showing against the singular serves as a precursor to the same against the plural.

If nothing else, we have an alternative viewing option when Green Bay jumps out to a 28-point lead against the Giants. All in all, a wonderful day to be a State fan.

The comments below can serve as a game/bowl selection thread of sorts.

Oh, and congrats to beloved alumnus Russell Wilson and the always mercurial Clemson Tiggers. Our November upset can be listed in the long line of random Wolfpack victories against the eventual league champion.

I was really hoping we could play Cincy, and redeem ourselves for the loss earlier in the year. But whoever we play, we are going bowling! And hope the BB team has a good performance at Stanford!

Would also like to say, since TOB is more than likely staying, that he and his staff need to step it up next year, and take the reins off the offense/defense. We wore Clemson out, mixing things up, and with our back against the wall with Maryland, Bible also unleashed our offensive arsenal. As paid coaches, surely they can see the difference with the style of football we play, and the final results. I have grown tired of our conservative approach, because it is boring, and usually cost us games, we shouldn’t lose.

It’s going to take strategery to win these games of symmetry.

A win today would be awesome! I’m hoping we play smart + tough.

In response to that poll to the right, I’d like to see us play Rutgers to get them back for the PapaJohns.com bowl but it’s obviously more likely we’ll get Louisville

Wood gets so many cheap fouls. We have to cure this careless turnover syndrome we seem to have.

Pretty awesome to have so many fans out there.

Guys look great, but six turnovers already. More than a turnover a minute. We have to fix that.

We’re starting to get outworked on the boards.

Rebound and stop turning the ball over and we can win. We have some good matchups.

Finally a bucket. Thank God for Leslie.

I like that they’re calling so many offensive fouls on Stanford. Them being overly physical has helped get them back in the game.

I think Leslie is averaging 2 goaltends a game 🙂

Wow Stanford stinks, and we look like crap. Thank god for Calvin

Pack fantastic out of the gate in second half.

    Is Alex Johnson hurt?

Lorenzo Brown really needs to take better care of the ball bringing it up. He may not make it past halfcourt against Duke.

You don’t really believe that Stanford’s mascot is the “singular” of Louisville’s mascot, do you?

I think it was just a play on words. Or mascots if you will.
