For Sale: The Carolina Way

I imagine it won’t take long for this to get yanked from eBay, but until then, it’s pretty damned funny. I think the description part of the auction item could’ve used a bit of commentary, but hey, everyone’s a critic.

Current bid is $2.25. I’m not sure it would sell for even that.

No sense bidding – the NCAA will own them in the end.

Wynken, Blyken, and Nod-and the NCAA will rock their FB program to sleep…

I believe the winning bid was 8 wins, and a trip to the Music City Bowl.

I love me some Statefans Nation, but I must point out and give kudos to the Pack fans posting at Pack Pride that have busted McAdoo’s (and UNX’s) world wide open with their breakdown of the blatant plagiarism in McAdoo’s paper that was submitted to the public record as part of his suit filed against UNX and the NCAA. You can find it here – best reading starts at page 28…
    http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=178&f=2515&t=7632035&p=28

They ran the paper through online sites that check for plagiarism (among other things) and the paper lit up like Times Square.

So, not only did McAdoo blatantly cheat, the Professor missed it, the UNX internal investigation missed it, and the UNX “Honor” Court missed it! Ahhh, the Carolina Way…

As for the academic dishonesty charge that was thrown out for “lack of evidence”, it’s pretty hard to find the evidence if you make to effort to look for it.

  16. IamGumbyDammit 07/07/2011 at 8:53 AM #

that should read “NO effort”. Someone PLEASE fix the edit function!

“So, not only did McAdoo blatantly cheat, the Professor missed it, the UNX internal investigation missed it, and the UNX “Honor” Court missed it! Ahhh, the Carolina Way…”

Let’s also add McAdoo’s legal team.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen a Dutch style auction on this; could you imagine how low it could go before someone placed a bid?

    Oh….my….GAWD!

That’s funny and has been forwarded at least 15 times just by me.

Can’t believe this is still up. TMI warning: I literally spewed coffee from my nose while reading this. Oh, man, I needed that laugh. I’m sure I’ll get the quote wrong, but one of my favorite authors (Anne McCaffrey) once wrote “Ah, but a man can sleep anytime, a laugh restores the soul.”

Michael McAdoo has a good case against UNC

    Opening Statement

While I was still a minor my Mama entrusted me to the UNC at Cheating Hill. During these important formative years they molded me morally, physically and educationally. Most in charge of this development were Coach Blake (which I will refer to as Pops) and Coach Davis (which I will refer to as Uncle Butch).

    • Yes, I took money and trips with agents, but how could I think that this was illegal since Pops the agent told me about the opportunities, I visited his friends and his friends game me the money.

    • Yes, a tutor wrote my papers, but how could I think this was wrong when the tutor was one of my mentors at this fine institution and the personal tutor of Uncle Butch.

    • That money to pay parking tickets, forget about it. My uncle sent me that money by way of the tutor.

I have to admit that at times I wondered if what Pops was saying was legal, but I always called Uncle Butch on his private phone for confirmation.

    How could I be guilty?

Michael’s got some explaining to do.
