I hope his death was slow and agonizing.

Feed his rotting carcass to the hogs.

  3. bradleyb123 05/01/2011 at 11:04 PM #

^^ Hogs deserve better than Osama slop.

    But this is great news!

  4. Master 05/01/2011 at 11:10 PM #

Considering the awful deaths he caused, a fitting end would have been to see him tied in a straight jacket, doused in jet fuel, lit with a welding torch and shoved from the top of the Empire State Building.

Wonder if Obama will blame Bush for this, too. 🙂

On a serious note, I wonder how the Muslim extremists will spin this into Allah still being with them? Their top leader was killed by the “great satan”, yet they’ll just spin this into a good thing. And their young followers with minds full of mush will just buy into it. I guess Osama finally has his 72 virgins.

Just like right after 911 I would advise everyone to keep their eyes open and report anything to the proper authorities of any abnormal activities you might see. I’m sure we are all doing this already and have been. These people hate us and that is an understatement if there ever was one. This piece of crap was their everything and response on their behalf would not be out of the question.

Congrats to the special group of soldiers who finished him off and for no casualties to our men.

Now that Osama is dead, will Donald Trump be asking to see his death certificate? 😉

It takes an Obama to get an Osama

It would seem that at least one program has successfully continued across two administrations. I’m glad to see this finally taken care of. I hope it has the desired effect.

  13. SMD 05/02/2011 at 1:30 AM #

^Actually, there was no program across two administrations. The Bush Administration dismantled the CIA’s Bin Laden Unit in 2005 and then announced in about a year later.

  14. MrPlywood 05/02/2011 at 2:12 AM #

I understood that this was carried out by JSOC, which has spanned multiple admins. Is that not correct?

Let the politics die on this issue like the bastard our forces took down this week.

  16. tjfoose1 05/02/2011 at 2:16 AM #

Not bomb, but Seal Team. Early reports were incorrect. Killed in gun battle, as al-qaeda literally hid behind a woman.

SMD – of course, Bush had nothing to do with this. All credit should go to Obama.

    Geesh.

Job well done Armed Forces, Special Forces, Intelligence Agencies, Obama, Bush, and everyone else in between, behind, and all around.

The Paki’s have some ‘splain’n to do.

  17. tjfoose1 05/02/2011 at 2:18 AM #

Yes, it was 20-25 Seals working under the command of the JSOC.

  18. Plz2BStateFan 05/02/2011 at 6:30 AM #

Everyone has known for a long time that Osama was in Pakistan. ‘Paki’s’ have nothing to explain.

I really want to read a book in about 2-3 years about how this went down in great detail.

The credit goes to the men and women who have been fighting this fight for 10 years.

What a great thing to wake up and hear this morning! Hope Osama is enjoying burning in hell!

Can’t get this song out of my head (or forget that on the death of the Wicked Witch of the East, the Wicked Witch of the West was not far behind).

Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up – sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She’s gone where the goblins go,
Below – below – below. Yo-ho, let’s open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong’ the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
    Let them know
    The Wicked Witch is dead!

Good news to hear this morning. I don’t know if this will change much in the grand scheme of things but still good to hear. I’m sure someone else will take his spot with dreams of being the next big shot.

  22. Tampa-Pack 05/02/2011 at 8:11 AM #

SFN actually was the first source in my Twitter feed to break the news. I guess I should just come here all all news from now on. In all serious though, great news. Thank you to everyone involved. Love that we took him out eye to eye, in his room. Not with a bomb, or unmanned drone (although that would have worked too). bin Laden killed and taken, not a scratch on the good guys!

This is hugely symbolic and had to happen whether it took one year, ten years or fifty. Uncle Same had to get this bastard and reaffirm the message that we will hunt you unrelentingly for as long as it takes if you wrong us.

I don’t think anyone thinks these thugs will now just go away. Its not over by a long shot. This is an ideaological war. Extremism is likely to be with us forever. Continued vigilence is definitely in order.

Having said all that, there is something changing across the Arab World. THis event fits nicely into the ground-swell of uprising seen in countries like Egypt, Lybia, Tunsia and Syria. Hopefully the right groups prevail and some form of freedom sweeps in. I’d like to think the demise of Osama will strengthen that movement and embolden more democratically minded Arabs to speak up against fanatics and get out of the stone age.

Does this mean our economy will go back to the way it was in 2001?
