Nate’s a Bronco!!!

Congratulations to Nate Irving for going much higher than expected. John Fox knows defense, and apparently he liked what he saw on film.

This Bronco fan is very, very pleased to have more incentive to hit the sports bar whenever the stupid f-ing lockout ends.

Here’s a link to the brief article on the best (IMHO) Denver Broncos blog. Happy, happy, joy, joy!

    Best news all day.

    Amen, chop. Amen.

I can finally wear my Broncos hat to C-F without drawing puzzled stares.

You draw puzzled stares regardless of location and headgear. 😉

Well, the muttering to myself and eyes darting back and forth don’t help matters. And when I forget to wear pants. LMAO.

didn’t he just have to be a bronco. well let’s hope he has plenty of success, except against the chargers of course.

RW made the right choice…no NFL or NBA next season,
so go with the only one of the big 3 left.
even CJL didn’t tease about the NBA.
    Nate’s not a nickel back.

Wish the Redskins would get a NC State player. They took a DT before Marvin Austin, so at least they didn’t get him. I don’t know what I’d do.

    Way to go Nate!

Nate will thrive in a Fox defense. That is going to be one NASTY D.

is nate the only nc state player to be drafted this year?

  15. BJD95 04/30/2011 at 11:14 AM #

Spencer could go in Round 6 or 7.

    From Rotowire:

This could be a steal. Irving is a highly competitive linebacker and was extremely disruptive in college. This is a guy who, as long as he doesn’t get too reckless on the field, could be a big playmaker. He’s one of the top IDP targets in rookie drafts.

Congrats to Nate. What’s the popular opinion on RW’s release?

  18. West Coaster 04/30/2011 at 7:23 PM #

Wow!…& Nate Irving is the lone Wolfpacker to be picked in the draft. The tar-babies got 9 in. Either the scouts missed out on some pretty good talent or TOB (undefeated vs the holes) is a MUCH better coach than BD!

I enjoyed watching Burney be the “best available” ranked player for like the last 5 hours of the broadcast. He was never picked. LMAO.

I thought Sturdivant wasn’t picked either, but he went in the 6th to AZ.

  20. choppack1 04/30/2011 at 9:47 PM #

Yep. ESPN had plenty of great things to say about those tar heels didn’t they. It really makes you wonder what kind of arrangement they have with chief.

So let me get this straight…wolfpack nation thinks CJL can play in the nba? Anyone in touch with the reality of the situation? He struggled at times against one of the worst years in acc history in terms of individual team strength vs the rest of the country, and in an overall down period in college bball

  22. the_phisherman 05/01/2011 at 9:12 AM #

Wasn’t it Sturdivant who went further in the Butkis awards than Irving? If so, we should ask which player is a better pro prospect now.
