Get to know Coach Gottfried

Great ten minutes of conversation here.

Coach G comes off as calm, yet energetic. Cool, yet competent and confident. He’s ready to fight and prove to the world that he’s learned from his mistakes.

Sporting News and WRAL and a few other sources are saying that Joseph Uchekbo wants to DE-Commit.

Looks like a good prospect for Gottfried’s “UCLA High Post” offense. Gotta learn more about it….but it seems that Uchekbo would be well advised to listen to our coaches for a while….but I’ll bet that Calipari and some other unscrupulous recruiters have been camping at his door since Sidney resigned.

Anybody got any insight into this….what’s the “tweet” on this?

Awesome. I liked him from the first time I heard David Glenn report who he was, and what he had done. Granted, I had no idea who he was at first, but I do now and like the hire a lot.

Uchekbo wants out. Word on the street is that greasy Cal from Ky is in his ear. Guess he is telling him to come there and he will not have to worry about qualifing.

i think its now official uchebo is out! i hate to see him make this decision but i think we will be okay without… it’d be nice to have a guy his size. it really doesn’t make sense to me for him to leave nc state and the only thing that would make sense is that someone has offered him an under the table look. for whatever reason i wish him well and if anyone doesn’t want to be at nc state or come to nc state 1000% then don’t..

To be completely honest… as a die hard state fan for over 20 years, i wasnt happy or even satisfied about this hire to begin with. But the more I hear about MG and the more I hear his opinions and stance on our entire basketball organization… I love it. I absolutely cannot wait until basketball season starts again

No doubt about it, our boys have to get in shape. By now they should know that most ACC games are going to be close, so they have to have the energy to close out the games. Richard Howell, for one, could be a much better player if he could get himself up and down the court – and up in the air – a little better.

Big “U” is a serious loss. We need some quality size in the pipeline. We’ve got guards. Maybe Moxley can go the JuCo route and get us a post guy.
