Bowl Preferences?

We’re going to have an entry later that will spell out NC State and the ACC’s current bowl landscape. Before we do, we wanted to give everyone a chance to chime in with your own selfish, personal preference for the Wolfpack’s coming bowl trip.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Any bowl that kicks off December 29 or later. I refuse to watch us play while I’m on vacation in Puerto Rico, because I don’t want to ruin my relaxed mood.

Well, actually here’s what will really happen – I will talk myself up all day into having resolve and avoiding, but in the end I will watch and hate myself for doing so.

I want to play the best opponent possible, which means Peach Bowl. I wouldn’t mind watching us play Washington in the Sun. I hate ND too much to get any enjoyment out of it (unless we beat them senseless), and playing a Big East team is always dull. So for multiple reasons, I’m meh on the Champs.

My best bowl experience was the MOC Peach, where we beat a really good Mississippi State team that we had no business even playing close. Their OL were good and massive, but Carl Reeves kept essentially crawling under them.

I was also in a luxury box drinking free gins and tonic. Fun times, fun times.

First choice is Atlanta, but not going to happen with FSU ahead of us. How is Miami at 7-5 in front of us? Not going to Nashville. Would consider all the others.

Music City vs Tennessee would be cool, but I don’t think we’ll drop that far. Sun vs Washington like BJD95 mentioned would be alright too. It’s gonna take a good matchup to get me excited about FBall again this season.

Ya’ll have fun going to the Muffler bowl. I’ll be waiting for next year…same as it ever was, same at it ever was.

Looks like Pack fans who wanted to go to Charlotte are going to get their wish, but not the way they wanted it. Like Orlando, the opponent in Charlotte would be a crap opponent. I wouldn’t want to play Notre Dame HERE, let alone in Florida. They’re AWFUL!! The best bowl for a quality opponent would probably be the Sun Bowl, but who wants to go to El Paso this time of year?

It just sucks being an NC State fan when it comes to bowl season and in March. I’m beginning to believe that this will never change.

To be quite honest, if we don’t get a bid to the Peach or Champs Bowl I would like to see us drop all the way down to the Kraft Bowl just to take on Boise State.

I will travel to Atlanta,Orlando, or as bad as I hate to admit it Charlotte…it is a fun town…..and not the game I WANTED to attend there….Got a fuuny one for you…I had 4 pricey , previously purchased front row tickets, 47 yard line behind the Atlntic Champs bench ( When I was still a WOLFPACK optimist-Never again)…..sold 2 to a Florida State fan and 2 to a Va Tech fan…that should be interesting…I do not think the Va Trch fan was aware where he was purchasing tickets….

Can someone justify why going to the CFA bowl is even a possibility for state? we are #4 in the league, its the #2 bowl…………

The bowls pick in order and may pick any team that is within one game of the team with the next highest record. There are also caveats that allow the CFA bowl to pick someone other than the loser of the championship game.

So if FSU loses, the CFA bowl could choose FSU (6-2) or any of the 5-3 teams.

The Sun Bowl would be interesting if we were able to play a PAC-10 team, but it doesn’t look like that will happen. The last thing that I would want to see this team do is play Toledo or Army when the Holes will probably get The Voles.

Besides, if we go to El Paso with our luck an errant bullet from the drug violence in Juraez would probably hit one of our players or coaches in a Bryant Feggins fashion.
