Just turned on the Duke game. Wallace Wade is more crimson than blue from the air.

AL scores already – doesn’t look good for Duke. VT D continues to struggle.

  3. StateFans 09/18/2010 at 3:30 PM #

VPI just scored. Will take 28-27 lead if hit the xtra point.

REALLY NEED the Hokies to win this one.

  4. WolftownVA81 09/18/2010 at 3:34 PM #

AL scores on second possession due to missed tackles but coming back on foot out of bounds.

Now it’s a TD. AL over Duke 14-0

  6. WolftownVA81 09/18/2010 at 3:38 PM #

    Correction leads Duke.

The ACC needs VT to win

Any chance Bama puts up 100 on Duke? I heard Mark Thomas saying it would be a competitive first half and then the second half would determine the winner. I hate to see what the second half looks like if that’s still the case…

Tenn vs. Florida is the battle of mistakes. Whew.

I don’t have ACC pride like some people seem to. I hope every team in the ACC loses every week except State (unless ECU is involved). The strength of the league won’t hurt State anyone soon, only when we’re battling for a national title will it matter. Am I the only person who would like to be the only team that looks good in the league?

The actual players on the field are not what makes Carolina despicable. It is the attitude of their fans.

Any word on the Ryan Williams knee injury?

Most of them. Some are pretty decent folks.

If we somehow manage to beat GT, the reaction of Carolina fan will be epic. Especially if they lose next weekend.

With the way that our LB’s have been playing, I like our chances against GT more today than Wednesday. I’m not saying we will win, just saying that before, I thought they would give us absolute fits. UNC should have won that game, but they found ways to not give themselves a chance to win.

Why not call TO when Yates goes down? Why do you send a freshman in to throw a deep route on 3rd and 10 when it is clearly 4 down territory? If you don’t give yourself a CHANCE to get another 1st down, then you won’t get the ball back even with 3 time outs left.

i don’t know who made that call, but it was epic Butch Davis. That is why I hope he stays and has to recruit with more scrutiny. Without NFL talent on his roster, State is in better shape with him staying and having to “coach up” talent and manage games.

That is not his strong suit.

Butch also blew 8 seconds of critical clock time when GaT was running out the clock. 1st down got picked up with 1:10 to go… clock re-starts after they set the chains, and he takes 8 seconds (more than 10% of his remaining time) to call a TO.

Of course, it didn’t matter, as the zebras not only gave him the 8 seconds back for NO EXPLAINABLE REASON… but even added one back to set it at 1:11. That’s right – one MORE second than was left when the first down was picked up.

Not a conspiracy theorist, but between that & some of the awful ball-spots, the refs were unc-ch’s 12 man today.

    BRIDGE ALERT, BRIDGE ALERT!!!

GEORGIA FANS ARE THROWING THEMSELVES OFF BRIDGES!!!

Did anyone see how far back Powell was pushed each play against GT? Not that the guy blocking him was all that great but Powell stood straight up and was pushed back.

unc will quit if they lose another game or two. The NFLers will bag it and wait on the combine.

If we beat UNC, every single NFL pick this year will never have beaten us. Blake, Butch, and most of his staff will never have beaten us assuming they get fired.

Who are you pulling for on October 2 when ECU goes to Chapel Hill?

Being 3-0 made this one hell of a football weekend. Time to play a lil Jim beamer ball and celebrate

  21. tuckerdorm1983 09/18/2010 at 11:12 PM #

Clemson is good, real good. I know they just lost in OT to Auburn. At this point they look to be the best team in the Atlantic division and maybe the whole ACC. If we go 7-5 or 8-4 they are likley to hang a loss on us at Death Valley. Clearly the toughest game on our schedule.

  22. Pack Mentality 09/18/2010 at 11:36 PM #

61packer: I guess you found a loophole in my logic. I always pull against the holes…I always pull against ecu unless they’re playing the holes.

What an ending to ND-Michigan State. Brian Kelly looked totally in shock.

  24. redwolf87 09/19/2010 at 1:51 AM #

Seriously bad series of plays for Iowa to end the game with Arizona. Stanzi seems to be incapable of understanding that you can throw the ball away when you have no options.

  25. Wulfpack 09/19/2010 at 10:05 AM #

I agree that Clemson looks very good. Tough way to lose, but I think they earned the conference a little cred last night, along with our dismantling of Cincy.
