Saturday Football Open Entry!

We’ve had a TON of great stuff on the blog the last couple of days…so, we really want to encourage you to look around and enjoy all of the hard work. Additionally, the last two weeks have been the most activity our message boards have ever experienced, so we want to encourage you to take them in and participate in threaded conversations about specific topics of interest – click here.

We’re going to open this entry for everyone watching all different games to throw out comments, commentary and links. Please feel free to start threads or comment more intimately on individual games, observations, etc on the message boards today.

Also, please don’t overlook our Twitter account where we come across great stuff from all across the ‘tweet-o-spher’. We’re currently up to 1,235 followers (and we try to weed out folks who really are just looking to expand their own Twitter reach).

Enjoy your 3-0 day, Pack fans.

Good day to scout future opponents. VT-ECU and GT-UNC should give us fans a good idea of what to expect.

Touchdown West Virginia! 7-0 over the Terps. Hope the ‘Eers keep eating some turtle soup.

On their first possession UMd has a false start penalty and 3 delay of game penalties without running but two plays!

  4. WV Wolf 09/18/2010 at 12:02 PM #

3 delay of game, a false start and a burnt time out on the Terps first drive ending in a 3 and out. Fridge obviously has them prepared.

UNX moves ball well, don’t spend much time in the huddle, and TJ gets plenty of time to throw. We’ll see how it goes.

21-0 WVU, total yards are 274 to 29. Geno Smith is a perfect 10-10.

Does anyone else find these Tarheels to be a little less despicable without all the trash on the team? I still hope they get crushed by GT, but for some reason I don’t harbor the same animosity without MA, GL and co. out there…

    14 – 10 GT in 2nd Q

Go WVU! GT defense looks dismal again today. RW and company should be able to put up some points next week.

UNC still is dispicable no matter what name is on the back of the jersey. It’s the mentality of that school that disgusts me. Both UNC & Ga Tech have no defense. Both teams have scored everytime they get it. I hope our defense comes to play.

GT game is really going to be about what defense shows up. The major benefit about the Thursday game is that we do get an extra two days to prepare for GTs offense.

As much flack as ACC has taken (well deserved), the SEC “powers” don’t appear to be all that sharp thus far this season. Florida’s offense has been horrible, Tennessee is way too young to be relevant, LSU continues to underperform, and Georgia hasn’t looked very good as a whole.

One thing of interest – Lil Rivers may not be playing for Miles next year IF he stays with LSU commit.

Arkansas up on Georgia 17-7. If things don’t change fast for the Dawgs, Richt’s days may be numbered.

GT defense is being handled by unx OL; no pressure on Yates and back seven looks like Pack D of last year…I am sure that they had a very tough week of practice after the KU loss, but they are just not very good at this point.

  13. Wulfpack 09/18/2010 at 1:31 PM #

GT lost to a team that has losses to North Dakota State and Southern Miss. ‘Nuff said. The Jackets are terrible.

  14. packalum08 09/18/2010 at 1:39 PM #

Porous defense and two pitch mistakes on offense. GT looks young/green/bad. Pick your adjective.

  15. Alpha Wolf 09/18/2010 at 1:43 PM #

^ Let’s just hope that the GT defense will be this porous next week. We’ll need all the points we can get…I just have a feeling.

GT and Carolina both look pretty ‘defense-less’

ECU currently leads Virginia Tech 10-0 but Hokies are driving

    Woody Durham sucks.

  18. tobaccordshow 09/18/2010 at 1:55 PM #

PJs offensive schemes are boring me to tears.

  19. packalum08 09/18/2010 at 1:55 PM #

Nope. You heard him right. You also heard him state that GT has 1 turnover, when they’ve had at least 2, three if you count the one on downs.

  20. st8family 09/18/2010 at 1:56 PM #

VT cannot stop ECU. ECU up 10-7 and have it 2nd & goal from the six.

VT won’t win 3 ACC games if they keep playing like this.

  21. Alpha Wolf 09/18/2010 at 1:56 PM #

Good lord, I would rather listen to Ayman al-Zawahiri (Al Q’aeda #2) lecture the US than listen to Woody Durham.

(For the record, I would never listen to a Zawahiri speech.)

  22. packalum08 09/18/2010 at 1:56 PM #

Might be a good topic for a forum thread, but who’s worse?

    Hogwood or Durham?

  23. st8family 09/18/2010 at 1:57 PM #

    17-7 ECU

  24. StateFans 09/18/2010 at 1:57 PM #

Technology is fantastic. Got what I want on TVs in front of me and ECU-VPI streaming on the computer.

^ Which one, Wes or Woody? Wes is as bad as Woody on the Tech feed.
