Saturday Football Open Entry!

We’ve had a TON of great stuff on the blog the last couple of days…so, we really want to encourage you to look around and enjoy all of the hard work. Additionally, the last two weeks have been the most activity our message boards have ever experienced, so we want to encourage you to take them in and participate in threaded conversations about specific topics of interest – click here.

We’re going to open this entry for everyone watching all different games to throw out comments, commentary and links. Please feel free to start threads or comment more intimately on individual games, observations, etc on the message boards today.

Also, please don’t overlook our Twitter account where we come across great stuff from all across the ‘tweet-o-spher’. We’re currently up to 1,235 followers (and we try to weed out folks who really are just looking to expand their own Twitter reach).

Jonathan Williams (aka Original Gangsta) is a running hard for the Pirates.

Virginia Tech’s offense starting to pick up

I see the Tarholes brought back the retro colors…aluminum and blue

I have the GT game muted. The ACC commentating is just unbearable. I hope Clemson can be respectable tonight.

You have to think State is better than Ga Tech from what we’ve seen on TV.

Ryan Williams right hamstring injury…but, Darren Evans rocks

Really hope GT scores on this drive so we can see Kenan empty out…

Movement by the TE turns a 4th and inches into a FG; if unx comes back on that dumba$$ play…GT up six with ~6 min. to play.

I just realized that I am not sure I could be a GT fan. I am not sure I could handle cheering for Nesbitt each week. It gives me flashbacks to watching TA play football except he touches the ball every down on offense. A lot of risk and reward with him, but a bit frustrating as well.

Why does UNc have three timeouts? They challenged the pianalto fumble and lost…

GT – DON’T FUMBLE THE BALL!

Arkansas & Georgia now tied at 24. Hoping the best for Richt.

Is GT this bad or is UNC this good without the thugs?

  15. WolftownVA81 09/18/2010 at 2:49 PM #

there it is, the empty keenan shot with a minute to go.

  16. phillypacker 09/18/2010 at 2:50 PM #

Could we go ahead and change UNC’s mascot from tarheels to cheaters?

  17. Lunatic Fringe 09/18/2010 at 2:50 PM #

GT is this bad. Kansas (GT’s loss last week) was man handled by Southern Miss last night.

  18. Pack78 09/18/2010 at 2:51 PM #

Perfect result for GT-unx:unx still loses and GT looked crappy…

  19. tractor57 09/18/2010 at 2:51 PM #

    cheetas??

  20. Dogbreath 09/18/2010 at 2:51 PM #

Nice clockwork. No time ran off the clock on that 2nd play and only 7 seconds ran over the course of the first these plays.

  21. phillypacker 09/18/2010 at 2:52 PM #

It’s better for a team like GT to win ugly because it’s less of a wake up call than a loss is.

Game probably would have been over sooner had it not been played in chapel hill… love the empty stands at the end. they sure do have great exits there in cheater U. Gotta be able to get out quick!

GT’s 30-24 win @ UNC bodes very well for attractive game time next weekend vs 3-0 NC State. Great to be ‘featured’ again

The only real worries that I have about GT are playing on the road (TOBs conference road record isn’t too good) and GT’s run game wearing down our Defense too early. Thankfully, their defense doesn’t look too impressive compared to last year. I think that we have a legit shot at being 4-0 after next weekend.

So the Holes had empty stands at kickoff… empty stands to start the 2nd half… and empty stands with 2 minutes to go, down 6 points with the ball.

But for about 5 glorious minutes in the 2nd quarter, it looked reasonably full. Must be a shame for all the cheating to be no more effective at turning you into a football program.

And were you guys actually watching? They’re no less despicable than before – just DIFFERENT chest-thumping thugs than the guys who cheated. But plenty of new kids ready to fill in (I’m talking to you, #98 on the defense)… it’s kinda like how it doesn’t matter how many terrorists you kill… there are plenty more suicide bombers ready to step in…
