    Carolina is a whole lot “younger” than us, too. So throw that argument in the garbage. There is little excuse for this performance. We are a shell of a basketball program.

    Who do you blame

    Simple…don’t waste any time searching for someone to blame. Don’t look at any one game…look at multiple seasons and reach some conclusions. If you don’t like what you see there is only person RESPONSIBLE.

    On the positive side, we’re doing a good job making the score look deceptively close, for all the lucky folk who didn’t watch.

    For the record, UNC still looks NIT-bound to me.

    Doesn’t this happen every year? Don’t these bums beat one good team, and we (the fans) go all crazy about how “they’ve finally figured it out”! Every year at mid-season, we get our hopes up, only to be crushed at the end.

    I’m done, man.

    I haven’t purchased Pack Pass in 2 years, and I won’t until something changes.

    Just win, dammit!

    Sid is now 17-37 in the ACC. That’s a 31% winning percentage. We are currently 2-5. Thats good for 28%. We haven’t come close to beating UNC in 3 years. You do the math.

    Relegated at this point to watching old “Cops” reruns and hoping to see some miscreant wearing a UNC jersey getting worked.

    Can anyone else see that Javi, despite all of the lucky shot he might make, crucifies our offense? Ballhogging every possession… He scores points in the “Allen Iverson” tradition of keeping it and shooting it every time.

    Sometimes I think VaWolf is the only other Wolfpacker who gets the whole “fault vs. responsibility” thing. I should make a Word version of my summary paragraph so I can cut and paste all season.

    Seriously, I don’t think the Holes took a bad shot the entire second half. That will put you in position to win some basketball games.

    The weird hot stretch at the end of the first half through the start of the second might have been the worst thing that could happen to us. Seemed to make us think we were “destined” to win and that any old slop we put up was going in.

    I just don’t get it guys. This is how NC State basketball has been for my entire lifetime. I’m so so so fed up with this. Some hope but no results. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel?

    Need a team shrink… psychologically weak. Smith goes out with 3 fouls, and 5 people decide to do 5 separate things to win it themselves. That never works.

    Don’t know if it’s the “here we go again” mentality, or trying to hard to be the hero. But the team doesn’t know how to overcome adversity yet. One would have hoped that the Arizona game would have taught them that they can compete without Smith…

    Grrr. Out of beer now.

    We’ll suck in football too, but will at least beat Carolina. Probably not Duke, though.

    Guess I’ll pick back up at tournament time. I can’t see wasting anymore time on this team. I feel sorry for the kids – seems like they are trying, we just aren’t playing as a team. We have a bunch of individuals trying to make it happen on their own. Too bad our two ex-point guard coaches can seem to figure this out.
