Saturday’s Open Entry

Please feel free to share comments and information in this thread today.

A few couple items of interest:

If you happen to have some time on your hands tonight, we ask you for a favor.  We’re going to work on feature entry here and we need all of the time-saving help that we can get.  Therefore, if you have the time &/or inclination then do us a favor and share some relevant/interesting links, articles and historical information about the University of Arizona’s Basketball program in our comments section.  I would particularly be interested in numbers and statistics of UofA’s Basketball before Lute Olson arrived and the performance of the program after Olson.  That’s it.  You can’t go wrong.  We just want help compiling research to save some time.

Think I’ve found a team to root for in Detroit – whoever wins this game. Gutsy play all around.

Nova moves on and I for one am glad. They are a team you can really get behind, especially if/when they play Carolina. As odd as it sounds, I don’t think Pitt could have beaten the Heels.

One hell of a game though, definitely the best of the tournament thus far, considering all that was on the line. But Lundquist needs to ease up with the Duke-Kentucky reference. This game was not even in the same league.

I just watched the , BG video and I find it ironic the the phrase is “Run out of town” and Billy was literally run back to his office by the media.

    Fantastic game.

Couldn’t believe they they went for the home run pass and overshot, but great play design and execution for Reynolds.

Glad Nova moved on, but tough break for Pitt. Outstanding game and highly enjoyable.

Really liked it when Blair traveled with the ball and the the ref out top had to make the call. Not sure how many of you caught it, but the ref on the baseline was staring at Blair’s feet and neglected to make the call. Classic.

    Ok, Boomer Sooner!

My Longhorn wife even agreed to go Boomer Sooner tomorrow.

I thought Blair was shoved on that travel call. The Nova guy got right under him with his hips.

3 minutes to go, Pitt was up 4 with the ball. Dixon for Pitt had a brain fart and picked up his dribble right over the halfcourt and got trapped. They were on a roll, on a 12-4 run. I thought if Pitt scored there, that could have been the game. That said, neither team quit playing, so who knows.

Just another game with hustle and heart and guys playing with a purpose. *sigh*

“If Izzo wants a real challenge, why doesn’t he take over the Cal St. Fullerton program?”
    `
If he wanted a REAL challenge, he’d take over the… Oh, never mind.

Okay, the gauntlet is down to two teams – somebody’s GOT to take out the Heels!!
Everyone in my pool picked Carolina but me, which meant I thought I was sitting pretty until ‘Nova stepped on Pitt.

    ABC!!!

pup nice johnny five alive shot above!

this tourney sucks so bad, good game between nova and pitt but it does not seem like a good tourney to me.

It sucks so bad I am going to pull for mich state and a team with some light blue in it…yikes that is how bad this tourney is!!!! I can’t pull for Nova or Uconn!!!!Just can’t do it.

On a side note some App State alumni have been mumbling about Monte Towe becoming App States next head coach, supposedly he has some ties to App State…

I will also throw out that App State could possibly land Seth Curry and Monte Towe. It would bring some more Curry excitement to Southern Conference. That would be interesting.

What as i speak another fould on UNC…..

^Agree coach, it’s had it’s moments but this tourny has not been the greatest.

Very disappointed with Oklahoma, not with the Griffins though.
