I clicked on Twitter to join previously and again today and when I did I got this message:

    What’s going on?

Lee Fowler is fighting back, that’s what’s going on!!

  3. ruffles31 03/22/2009 at 9:42 PM #

Similarly, is there a Facebook group for SFN?

SFN: There is currently a FaceBook group for SFN. I believe the actual spelling for it includes spaces, so it is called State Fans Nation.

However, we may overhaul it from a “group” page into a “fan page” in the near future as we just don’t have time to keep the group page updated.

That’s the most clever of all the LF comments I’ve seen. That took some thought.

Just out of curiousity…why does a Web page/blog need another Web page/blog? Or do I not understand what those other two things are?

  6. packbackr04 03/23/2009 at 8:47 AM #

has anyone heard about Fergie or Costners plans for next yr?

  7. Ed89 03/23/2009 at 8:53 AM #

Fergie is graduating and foregoing his senior year of eligibility. Therefore, that is another scholly we have available. I think we can possibly sign 3 more with this class. Whether we get Wall or not, I think we’ll sign 2 more 4/5’s. Possibly the guy from Australia fairly soon.

  8. BJD95 03/23/2009 at 8:55 AM #

We’ve told you all year that Costner is gone. Absolutely nothing has happened to change that assessment.

Ferguson isn’t going to play next year whether he’s still on the team or not.

SFN: Just to clarify — everything that we know to this point can’t help but lead to the conclusion that Costner is not coming back. But, no decision has been made/communicated and that does not mean that he may not ultimately play for State next year. I would say that there is no reason to expect him to be in the program next year; but, we are not aware of an actual decision having been made. Stranger things have happened.

  9. Noah 03/23/2009 at 9:12 AM #

Is the Australian guy someone who can contribute next year? Or is he more of a project?

  10. packbackr04 03/23/2009 at 9:26 AM #

i saw where the aussie is ready to commit soon. the article did not specify where he is commiting though.

  11. Ed89 03/23/2009 at 9:35 AM #

From what I’ve heard, he’ll contribute, but he is not a game-changer. In a couple of years, he could be that type of player. He needs to gain some weight, so he doesn’t get pushed around. He’s supposedly a good athlete, but needs to get stronger and more polished offensively.

“Assistant coaches Larry Harris and Monte Towe are in Hutchinson, Kansas today taking in the 1st round of the NJCAA Tournament which is the JUCO National Tournament. ”

any ideas who we are looking at out there?

  13. BJD95 03/23/2009 at 9:57 AM #

If he’s over 6’7″ and has a pulse, he’ll have to play at some point next season. But I certainly wouldn’t expect much.

  14. Wulfpack 03/23/2009 at 10:32 AM #

Any good golf courses out there in Hutchinson, Kansas? If so, that’s where you can find ’em.

  15. Ed89 03/23/2009 at 10:34 AM #

Ryan Kelly would have seen A BUNCH of time for State. He probably won’t sniff the court next year at Duke until mop up time.

  16. Noah 03/23/2009 at 11:48 AM #

From what I’ve heard, he’ll contribute, but he is not a game-changer.

    Typical Lowe recruit then.

  17. ktoh 03/23/2009 at 12:33 PM #

What is the aussie kid’s name?

  18. McPete 03/23/2009 at 12:51 PM #

    ktoh,
the aussie’s name is Jordan Vandenberg (might have misspelled the last name).

In other news, packpride is reporting that Trevor Fergeson is foregoing his senior year to transfer out of the program. Question: is this a waiver wire situation like we state fans blasted UNC and butch davis over, or is Fergeson abandoning the Titanic while he can?

  19. blackdom 03/23/2009 at 1:24 PM #

Well as far as the juco tourney goes it was from the 17th till the 21st so I hope Larry and Monte enjoy the sights in Hutchinson,Kanas???

  20. frankiepack 03/23/2009 at 1:41 PM #

Think the latter we are a long way from making waiver wire deals.

  21. mdb08 03/23/2009 at 6:03 PM #

you guys can scratch the golf jokes….well at least the kansas courses.

I saw Towe around 10:30 this morning, while studying out on the Court of Carolina.

“Question: is this a waiver wire situation like we state fans blasted UNC and butch davis over, or is Fergeson abandoning the Titanic while he can?”

All we can do is guess, unless someone among us has an inside track on these things. My guess is that Fergie knew he wouldn’t see much action next year, and decided not to ride the pine. He’s not going pro anywhere anyway, so why not focus on his studies?

It may be that Sid told him he could remain on the team, but he wouldn’t see any real playing time. I can’t imagine Sid kicking him off the team just to clear out a spot.

    Just my guess.

I was one of the people blasting Butch for recruiting 25+ players when he only had something like 14 spots available. That’s a clearing house in the making, if you ask me. I don’t think that’s the same thing as this.

  23. redfred2 03/24/2009 at 6:02 PM #

Hey, ^”playing golf” and ^”typical Lowe recruit”, you two guys are certainly great for moral around here. Why don’t you exchange e-mail addresses so you can put your heads together in private, before either of you types another unsubstaintiated line of tripe.

Hey, I wonder if between their endless rounds of golf, Towe and Harris would want to take in an NBA game? Maybe one where JJ Hickson logs substantial minutes in his first season on that level? Nah, they wouldn’t do that, they gotta rest up for their early tee times according to WULFPACK and NOAH.

  24. redfred2 03/24/2009 at 6:14 PM #

^Oh yeah, forgot to add, if they’re looking at any player in particular in Kansas, wouldn’t it just be hilarious and great for the NC State BB program if that player didn’t manage to qualify somehow? Yuck, yuck yuck, yuck, yuck yuck yuck!!! That is surely some worthwhile and funny stuff. Cracks me up to no end.

Y’all got any more of those?

  25. redfred2 03/24/2009 at 7:02 PM #

    I WAITing here!

Come on Wulf and Noah, surely it can’t take the two of you together, that long to fabricate something? Don’t make it so hard on yourselves, remember, like ALWAYS, it doesn’t have to based anything FACTUAL in the least.
