Vegas Odds on 2009 National Basketball Championship

If you happened to lose some of the $65 million on the Steelers this weekend then this may give you a chance to make up some money.

Rush the Court has the Vegas Odds for this year’s College

What drunkard put Maryland at +5000 and Arizona +3000? Is there any way I can apply for TARP money and short this idea?

so does Xavier Henry’s commitment to Memphis help us or hurt us with Wall?

  2. Bynum State Fan 11/18/2008 at 2:37 PM #

It looks like once again Duke is going to continue its legacy as the flagship team of the ACC. We WILL do better this year than last! Hopefully this will be an indication that future seasons will be brighter.

    1%! So you’re saying there’s a chance!

So if you take The Field, who’s in that field? Anybody not named on this list?

Seems if you didn’t make this list, you pretty much suck and should be getting much better (or worse, I guess?) odds than this.

Cue the stories about all the “pressure” the Heels now face.

  6. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 6:21 PM #

backinpack, you beat me to it. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw 1% way on down the page.

packbackr04-I can’t read Wall but I don’t think Xavier Henry’s commitment to Memphis will have any impact on whether or not he goes there. I’m not saying he won’t go there but I don’t think he’s swade one way or another by this news.

I’ve been busy at work and haven’t been checking on recruiting and signings, but hasn’t Memphis already signed a ranked PG in that class?

  9. Afterglow 11/18/2008 at 8:03 PM #

Aside from Rose who left for the NBA they really don’t think they have a true point guard that I can see and to my knowledge (I could be mistaken) I don’t believe they have signed anyone for next year. The following is the 09 class so far from scout.com:

    SG
    1
    Xavier Henry
    (Putnam City HS)
    Oklahoma City, OK

    6-6/210 11/18/2008
    Memphis

    SF
    JC
    Darnell Dodson
    (Miami-Dade)
    Miami, FL
    6-8/180 10/06/2008
    Memphis

    C
    JC
    Will Coleman
    (Miami-Dade)
    Miami, FL
    6-9/255 08/14/2008
    Memphis

    SG
    10
    Nolan Dennis
    (Richland HS)
    Richland Hills, TX

    6-5/180 07/03/2008
    Memphis

Ok, Kentucky looks about like we did last season @ Chapel Hole … This is ugly – really ugly … and the Holes aren’t even playing great D

This is pitiful … If Kentucky turns their season around again this season they better not get in the tourny ahead of an ACC team … They look ridiculous, and the SEC will more than likely be weaker than last season … But, their name is Kentucky, so if they go 12-4 in the SEC and 18-13 overall they’ll get in again

And BC has a player that looks like Vanilla Ice (they’re beating St. John’s right now, and Tyrese Rice looks like he’s on pace to score 50+ on us again)

  11. wufpup76 11/18/2008 at 9:31 PM #

Thank God Davidson-Oklahoma has come on so we don’t have to watch Kentucky suck it up against the Holes anymore

  12. Dr. BadgerPack 11/18/2008 at 9:45 PM #

Kentucky wasn’t going to be particularly good this year anyway… Actually, the whole SEC has problems– as far as I’ve seen so far. Our matchup with Florida should be interesting; they’re Duke-lite this year. Jacking up 3s with reckless abandon, and about 1 option inside. Unlike Duke, when that 1 option was Sheldon Williams, Florida’s one option is a freshman who looks rather lost/timid in the early going.

  13. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 9:46 PM #

pup, who’s carrying the BC game?

  14. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 9:49 PM #

Curry is having trouble getting going tonight. I’ve seen that before though, and it hardly ever ends up that way.

  15. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 10:03 PM #

It feels like Davidson should be down by 20 points, they haven’t had any offensive flow at all and they’re getting beat inside, but they’re right there within striking distance.

Maybe not, 3 fouls on Curry.

  16. highstick 11/18/2008 at 10:07 PM #

I thought the “nc” meant “no chance”!

Likewise, I can’t watch all that Blue Love and turned it to Davidson!

  17. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 10:07 PM #

Shut the hell up Vitale, what a douchebag.

  18. wufpup76 11/18/2008 at 10:12 PM #

Sorry, redfred – was away for a while 🙁

The BC game was on ESPN2 as I’m sure you found out … That was a terrible call on Curry’s 3rd foul earlier – the defender was not set and gave Curry no room to move – foul on Curry, naturally … If Oklahoma pulls away that one call could wind up costing Davidson the game

  19. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 10:16 PM #

I’ll say it again, Davidson looks terrible, but somehow they’re still only down by six.

  20. redfred2 11/18/2008 at 10:18 PM #

I don’t know about that first shot, and then the second one, what the hell?

  21. wufpup76 11/18/2008 at 10:37 PM #

Ok, Davidson only down 4 going into the 2nd half even w/ Curry in foul trouble … Let’s see what happens … Go Wildcats!

  22. wufpup76 11/18/2008 at 10:41 PM #

Wow, calling it really tight in the 2nd half so far, favors Davidson I would think

  23. wufpup76 11/18/2008 at 10:54 PM #

Ok, scratch what I said … Davidson has imploded

    g’night all

Looks like Muschamp is off of the coaching market. He is now Texas’ coaching fiancee.

Why so much hate for UNC. Duke is the team to beat this year in the ACC. Wake & UNC aren’t far behind though. We SHALL look better this year. I know there is not much option. We will be getting some good kids in here going forward.
