Schedule Stuff

On the heels of this great entry regarding strength of football schedules in the 2007 season…

…850TheBuzz gives us their annual ACC Helmet Schedule. I downloaded one and printed it off this morning.

If you have ESPN INsider then you can view Bruce Feldman’s look at the ten toughest non-conference schedules in the country.

While we are on the topic:

Football – it has been announced that NC State will host Gardner-Webb in Carter-Finley in 2009. We have updated our perpetual ‘Out of conference football schedule entry’ for your viewing pleasure.

Basketball– Similarly our 2007 Basketball Schedule Entry – most recently having added Presbyterian College – can be seen by clicking here.

Withholding “funds en masse” is like hacking off your arm to get the splinter out of your finger.

People not buying or using tickets they bought shows those guys that the the contributors are not happy.

    old13,

whats with the fowler rampage lately. im no lee fan, but it seems a little unjustified at this point and time. considering the two head coaches we have in place now, i dont think that “athletics will remain second drawer at best with occasional pushes into top 25 territory” do you really believe this???

I dont think Sidney Lowe will let that happen lush… but aside from him, if it were up to Lee, Oblinger, and Stafford then it wouldnt be much better.

Don’t know if this has been posted before, but for what it’s worth:

I wonder to whom or what he was alluding…

wow… SI really depends on LAST years teams as a precursor for what this year will be like, now dont they…

oh well… what do you expect our of sports writers?

  9. noah 07/17/2007 at 2:38 PM #

JV – just look upstream a bit.

Completely un-sports related in every way, shape and form…but researchers at NC State get a little love for the good work they’re doing in high-energy density capacitors.

noah – you think Manning AND Whitley are about to commit?

  12. noah 07/17/2007 at 5:07 PM #

    JV – I’m optimistic.

(compare that to my dour, eeyore-ish predictions that everyone seems to think I always make)

So your saying we could have a top recruiting class AND the “flux” capacitor?

  14. McWufPacker06 07/17/2007 at 6:28 PM #

woot – I haven’t laughed out loud like that in awhile Vtpackfan.

    Thanks 🙂

If you can travel back in time and STILL can’t land the best recruiting class, you’re doing something wrong, Doc.

    “Run for it, Marty!”

STOP THE PRESSES!!! SIDNEY LOWE FOUND GUILTY OF WATERING HIS YARD ON THE WRONG DAY!!!!! ATTENTION ALL UNC ALUM’S: TIME TO GET IN YOUR KICKS B/C ONCE THE SEASON STARTS, SID WILL BE WATERING HIS YARD WITH YOUR TEARS AND WILL HAVE NO NEED TO USE CITY WATER!

    http://www.newsobserver.com/weather/drought/story/640873.html

holy cow, 9500 sq ft.!!!!!! how big could his yard be on a 1/2 acre lot with that size house?

  17. packbackr04 07/18/2007 at 12:53 PM #

    touche sidney, touche…

i too like to live dangerously.

we everyday lawn waterers are a crazy breed, half in love with death, the other half, gobbling up fear like ordinary men gobble up peanuts.

  18. noah 07/18/2007 at 1:57 PM #

    9,500 square feet…three stories, that’s a 60-by-50-foot structure, right? That’s not too heinous.

thanks noah, way to rain on my parade… j/k

On a separate note, I just saw that Jordan Hamilton (09) went from High interest to Low interest in the Pack according to Scout.com. He was the only one that Scout mentioned we had offered a scholly. I take Scout.com with a grain of salt, though. Anyway, looks like he wants to stay out west.

  21. highstick 07/18/2007 at 6:58 PM #

Looks like some of the N&O reporters would report Sidney for “jaywalking” just to have something to write. That’s totally absurd to have mentioned his name! Why not list the other 271 violators? I’m sure at least one of them was a Tarhole fan!

If they call Sid the “water bandit” then Coach K has to be called the “time bandit”
