Related to yesterday’s entry ,we thought that we would share the following quote from ACC Commissioner, John Swofford via the ACC Area Sports Journal:
“The (ACC’s pre-expansion financial) projections were accurate. That’s the way you would want it. How did the Bonham Group do in assisting us with that analysis? The answer would have to be that they did extremely well, because these weren’t pie-in-the-sky numbers. They were realistic numbers. Yet (with full portions of shared conference revenue worth approximately $10.8 million per school during the 2005-06 tax year) we were able to go beyond them. “As it turned out, the performance is exceeding the projections — both those done at the time of expansion and those done since then. That’s a huge measuring stick for us at this point.â€
