after getting our butts kicked for the 3rd time by carolina that has not beaten a 1a team this year, if i was a carolina fan,i would make some t-shirts that would say ” chuck amato is john bunting bitch”

You do not want Skip Holtz, under any circumstances! You think Trestman can’t run an offense, just give Skip time to mess it up! I saw too much of him at South Carolina! Plus his notorious criminal recruits in the backfield!

Forget about Cowher…that’s just internet chatter !

Forget about Johnson…..he now has a steroid scandal on his hands at NAVY!

Great post!!! That first paragraph sums up the Wolfpack fanbase about as well as any I’ve read.

I do not think we’re lunatics, we just want it more than most. We used to LEAD, and be the trendsetter, so we know it can be done in at least one sport anyway. I’m about as crazy over the Wolfpack as any of the NCSU fans I know, but I can watch them lose, and play poorly, and still be 110% behind the program and coaches, but only if I see at least some sign of overall improvement.

We are not bad fans for wanting to see people, who deserve to be paid well, out there working hard to make this place better than it is. We also aren’t bad fans for not supporting people who aren’t getting their jobs done but are getting paid well right now.

Chuck Amato needs to be commended and appreciated for what he has accomplished in Raleigh. Whether he ever had any ability to lead the program higher or not, is something that I think can be traced back to the goals of the NCSU administrators. It’s their inability to embrace, promote, and encourage, anything or anybody, that could evently lead to us back to success, and that is where real problems lie at NC State.

And it will happen over and over again, until the whole outlook changes in every administrators office up there.

as much as i hate the tarheels, i do respect them in certain ways. They have the balls to make a change at any time, no matter whose feelings get hurt, no matter who it pisses off, they don’t care. They will not settle for medocority and that are comminted to winning at all cost. I am just like everyone else here when I say I hate the tarheels, but we could realy learn form them in a few areas. Grow some balls folwer, make the right call for gods sake

^Believe me, no one can singlehandedly take a company any higher than the owners abilities and vision will allow. I’ve tried, I know. The same goes for a university.

“When Carolina beats Duke next week and ECU comes into our house and kicks our ass, we will have the exact same record as the University of North Carolina. Holy shit. That is truly miserable.”

Maybe the same as unc this year, but look at the last three years.

    Overall: NCSU 15-20. unc 14-21.

    ACC: NCSU 8-16. unc 10-14.

Of course unc has an unfair advantage. They get to play us and Duke every year.

some one should fax those stats to folwers office, that is amazing. One school fires the guy who has done better in the acc than our coach, but we want to keep him around for another year or 2. UNC is going to blow by us in the next couple of years if we don’t make a change. And now is the time the acc is down and is wide open for any team to take control. just look at wake

paul johnson would bring buddy green back with him to run the defense—that would be great for recruiting—an ex ncsu guy and a former high school coach with great rapport throughout the state—not a bad mix—also—pj would probably bring most of the staff that followed him from ga. southern—notice that ga. southern was 3-8 this year?—staff continuity is essential for success at any level

“some one should fax those stats to folwers office”

That’s like telling him he has a moustache. He knows it already, and he has been pleased as punch with such for years and years. There is no one in Raleigh to send a fax, an e-mail, or like Cardiff ??? said, even a carrier pigeon, that will make the make the slighest bit of difference.

This is the end, no other options. And it will always come down to the end.

Two excellent coaches not mentioned………….Jim Donnan and Steve Logan. Both are excellent and could win BIG at NCSU. Plus they can recruit. I would LOVE to see either at NCSU!

    codsack

We need to BAG somebody, and hold onto THEM with both hands immediately, that’s for sure.

  13. GAWolf 11/19/2006 at 5:43 PM #

NO TO JIM DONNAN. He bungled the Georgia job. We can do better.

  14. Wolfpack4ever 11/19/2006 at 8:51 PM #

    redfred2 Says:
    “codsack

    We need to BAG somebody…”

redfred, Is this a double entendre’?

  15. redfred2 11/19/2006 at 11:43 PM #

    4ever

The ‘BAG’ and ‘hold THEM with both hands’, were in reply to a guy calling himself “codsack.” Is my humor just not obvious, or just not humorous.
