Week 8 TV Schedule

Another weekend sprinkled with some pretty good ACC games. The UNC vs. Virginia game will allow one team to stake its claim for the 2nd worst team in the ACC overall. It looks like the bottom three are all going to be in the Coastal division this year. Next up will be the Pack versus Maryland, in a game that NC State must win to keep its title hopes alive. BC at FSU is yet another key game in what looks like a wide-open Atlantic race. Finally, though technically not a conference game, VPI plays USM in a game that could tell a lot about the Hokies this year.

Nationally, the big one is UT at Nebraska. Both these teams seem to think they’re great, and unfortunately, it looks like they’re both wrong. Texas is very good, but it isn’t the same without Young. Nebraska looks like a pretty good football team, but they flunked their only test of the year – against USC, and the Cornhuskers wins over Kansas, Iowa State, and Kansas State weren’t exactly dominating. A win by Nebraska likely takes the Big 12 out of the national title race earlier than ever. For the past several years, the Big 12 has been an ideal route to the national title game with big name schools like Nebraska, Colorado, Texas A&M, and to a lesser extent Texas Tech and Kansas St. offering up mediocre performances against strong Texas and OU teams.

“Loser will be 2nd worst team in the ACC”

If UVA wins tonight and we can beat UNC for a change, the HEELS should go into the Duke game with a shot at #1.

we’ve got a 50/50 shot at beating maryland. we have better talent, they have better coaching.

it is a must win game for us — both because of the ACC record and, perhaps more importantly, because our program is (or should be) better than theirs.

    My picks:
Va over EweNC but somehow both will figure out a way to lose
NCSU – over MD — “coach Amato gets the WP mind’s right for this one.
GT over Clemson — this could be the best game of the season.
VT over SM — take the over on face masks.
Miami over Duke by 2 students wounded in a walk by. Take the over on helping hand ups given by UM to downed Dookies. Thaddeus also get the over on concussions for the year.
BC over heavy favorite FSU as the fire Jeff campaign gains strength.

Does anyone ever wonder if the term “We got Buntinged” will ever catch on?

I don’t know? Did “We got Sendeked” ever work?

Please don’t anybody rush in to defend, it was just a harmless joke.

No but “We ON the Down LOWE” for sure! I am hip with that.!

We win at Maryland, if we stop their running and dare them to beat us with the pass. Fridge don’t have the defense to stop out running game (give the ball to Brown don;t know why he stopped getting touches against Wake) if we can open it up with the pass. And Fridge’s quaterback only seems to be able to run that fancy offense on that high dollar video game they got, he cannot do it on the field! Ha Go Pack!
