Poll – Week 3

We’ll pass on the disclaimer this time; enough has been said with the previous polls.

One media note to ponder. Will Disney/ABC/ESPN’s new night game covered by Kirk Herbstreit, have any effect on college football coverage and as a result the polls? In years past, Game Day would head to the best game of the week. With LSU/Auburn, Florida/Tennessee, and Notre Dame/Michigan this weekend, the Nebraska/USC game just doesn’t seem like an obvious choice. Not coincidentally, Notre Dame and the SEC are the most likely to be shortchanged by the new primetime game due to their respective NBC and CBS contracts.

I didn’t know where to put this but i think everyone should read the interview with andre brown on statefans. I agree with andre “someone has to pay”.

I like how Miami is still up there… everyone says they arent the team they used to be, and they may not be… but they are still in the top of the nation.

I still say BC is lower… Clemson higher. although Clemson lost to BC, I still see them as the better team. after all it was a CLOSE game. I’ve got Penn State higher as well 😉

That’s good for Notre Dame as far as I’m concerned anyway. If there is any program that is the equivalent of our powder blue neighbors, but to a much grander scale and favored nothing but positively on the nationwide every day, including the largest heaping of free publicly and absolute kid glove, roll out the red carpet and let them pass, treatment,…it would be The Irish, of Notre Dame University.

SFN: I really hope you reconsider your opinion on BC after this weeks game… I have said since the beginning of the season they are over rated on the NATIONAL polls, and you have them even higher then that.

not that BYU is a bad team, but I just donts see BC as a top 25 team at all. In fact I love BYU. My sister and brother-in-law graduated from there, and I have all respect for the Y.
